- Bangalore, officially known as Bengaluru, is the capital city of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It's the largest city in the state, with a population exceeding 8 million, making it India's third most populous city and the fourth most populous urban agglomeration. Bangalore is renowned for its pleasant climate, extensive parks, and vibrant green spaces, earning it the nickname "Garden City of India." Situated on the Deccan Plateau at an elevation of over 900 meters above sea level, it boasts the highest elevation among India's major cities.
The city's history traces back to around 890 CE, with significant growth under the Vijayanagara Empire's Kempe Gowda I in 1537. Post the empire's decline, Bangalore saw various rulers, including the Mughals and the Kingdom of Mysore, until the British East India Company took control in the 18th century. Post-independence, Bangalore merged its town and cantonment to form a unified urban center in 1949. Today, it's a major global metropolis, known as the "Silicon Valley of India" for its leading role in the nation's IT industry. It's also a hub for aerospace, defense organizations, and a host of research institutions.
Bangalore's name, interestingly, has evolved over time, with its current official name, Bengaluru, adopted in 2006 to reflect its historical roots. The city's rich history, coupled with its modern-day status as a technological and economic powerhouse, makes it a unique blend of the old and the new, tradition and innovation.

@@miharanabdurahman9398That incident happened in Jharkhand India which is a very remote tribal area full of naxalist insurgents where even army personnel feel unsafe in dark. Jharkhand is a tribal majority state covered with dense forest and henceforth it's one of the most unsafe state. No tourist being aware ever tries to visit those tribal areas that too in dark where even Indians avoid, infact even India's army personnel tries to avoid those forestry rural sites cuz apart from those region being tribal majority those region are also insurgents area. Still it's shame for entire india though. And secondly rape can happen anywhere. Do you heard few months ago three man from France raped a British women. Do you heard where four men raped a American girl in Pakistan last year.

Nah, 20 years or so maybe a little less if we take PPP into account. We're still very much where China was in the late 2000's albeit our urban planning is horrendous but infrastructure is improving pretty rapidly.
It's happening, but it will take time. Latin America is a good comparison for where we'll be in 10-15 years time.

Oldest and one of the famous pub 'the hard rock cafe ' is located at the end of the church street road. Most of the pubs and live bands closed and shifted to some other places because of the currupt officials/representatives torture. Now its becoming shoping centre and food Street.
