I'm very happy to say I have completed DAO, DA2 and currently playing DAI the entire month of July. I am engrossed in this series and happy that I was shown it.
I also used DAO Redesigned (the lore friendly option, because it fixes a lot of NPCs who are supposed to look a certain way, but are just random in vanilla, like old people looking young, etc.), More Options in Pearl (it's not for everyone, but it's just so funny to see Arl Howe "raped" by an Ogre (you don't actually see the act) while you and your Mabari look at each other in shock), some specific armor redesign mods and new armor mods, and most of what you suggested.

Always do a first play through vanilla. So you can really appreciate what the modders have done. Cheers
Honestly wish there was a camera or control mod to make it more modern as the controls are the reason i just havent played the game. Inquisition may not have been the best game but the modern controls did feel nice for this series.
you keep showing on the feed, good work youtube's algorithm already loves u with the low (but rapidly growing) subscriber count, and well, youtube is right, its quality content so, glad to see it
So thankful for this video, before it I had yet to find a mod that updated graphics a bit but didn't rearrange the characters too heavily. I got pretty tired of seeing mods that were supposed to "improve the appearance of the game" but in doing that they made the womens' features daintier or their breasts bigger, the dwarves' noses smaller, and Zevran paler.
One thing I've noted about the "Extra Dog Slot" mod is that, occasionally, the game might attempt to act like the Mabari was selected as a party member when you leave camp. Not sure why but it's easy enough to "deselect" the Mabari and then select the party. Granted, this may just be an odd bug.
It's a normal bug with the mod -- I think it's because the mod itself technically makes your Mabari use a "summoned creature" slot like the mages/rangers can have and those are supposed to disappear when you head to camp/the next area so it makes the system go a bit wonky
Omg thank you so much for making this video! I only knew about the No Helmet mod -- all of these other mods are wonderful! Have you made/do you plan to make a DA 2 essential mod video? If not, I'd love to see it!!
the kidnap bug people get when using extra dog slot is due to them picking the dog as one of the ones to come for you the way i got around this was pick another two this is also handy as during the mission most of the enemies will only attack your dog which means you can use it to escape on your own and it adds a funny little bit with the guards when they detect you not being one of them
I've had that bug even when not picking dog! And it wouldn't give let me have dog with me when in the cell -- but the game is so fragile at times that I'm guessing different people will have different results depending on load order!

Great video! Just got into modding DAO, couldnt do anymore vanilla runs on the old Xbone. Btw do you know which hair/cosmetic pack the hairstyle on your warden is from?
I would be slightly careful about using mod managers for DAO (I did my modding manually. It does add some extra reading but from what I've read it makes mods more consistent in regards to installing correctly as long as you you can manage the dazip installer alongside file directories).
Adoring Fan it should do. When I installed it I didn’t need to use the dog whistle because the mabari was automatically summoned whenever I went outside camp.
i put all my mods into my override and dazips in daomm but non of my hair and makeup will show. i downloaded chargen morph compiler and tried to use that but still wont work
have you checked your ChargenXML File {located in your documents folder} to see if they're showing up? If not the merge might not be happening! You can manually add them into the xml file instead!
So I’m like going from ps4 to pc and unfortunately any modding I try to do I have no idea what anybody’s talking about so do I need to have other things downloaded in order to even start? The process is so long and tiring especially when you fail for at least 100 times😭😭😭
Sorry for the off topic question but could you tell how did you get that beautiful blue armor, please? I'd really like to have it with my city rogue elf!
@@FoodThenGames Hi! I checked the gray wardens mod, it's an armor you get after becoming a grey warden. I got a rogue armor because of my class, it look sooo cool!
I've been reading Improved Atmosphere is very buggy and might have some balancing issues (extra gear, stat changes, etc). You didn't experience any problems with it?
Nope! I’ve been using it since I think 2016 and haven’t had issues. As for gear balance I’m honestly not sure. I generally play with modded armours so I wouldn’t notice things like that!
I believe you can use the two together {at least I did for a while} And I think there are instructions on one of the two mod pages for how to make that work ... but to be honest I prefer using the newer overhauls for companions/npcs instead of DAO Redesign!
man I really wish I could have mods on console it always bothered me how in origins the grey wardens never have as cool of armor as they do so in the later games
Are there any hair mods compatible with bidelle's cosmetics? Every time I install a hair mod the faces return to their vanilla appearance. I have tried everything but it seems like if I want to have bidelle's cosmetics I have to have vanilla hairstyles and if I want hair mods I have to have vanilla faces. I have used vortex and chargenmorph compiler and nothing works
I've used a variety of hair mods no problem with that mod! It sounds like both chargenmorphs aren't compiling -- I'd highly suggest installing the mods manually as you could be running into a vortex issue with the chargenmorph files -- install first one, compile then installing the other and compile again!
could anyone help me with the cosmetic mod? i have mod manager and chargen morph, and i have it in my override folder but its not showing up in my game
Is there anything to increase the size of the party frame? I installed FTG for most of the UI but my party avatars are tiny on an ultrawide 35" monitor.
The last time I used the Warden armor mod, it destroyed my game's ability to function. I had to repurchase it. What I really want to know is how to play DAO on my new computer without it crashing.
hey how do you compile two mods? bcs i have the bidelle cosmetics and more hairstyles mod and it's said that u cant have 2 chargenmorph xml files at the same time, helpp
There's a mod on nexus called chargen morph or something similar -- it'll compile them for you! Or you can manually compile them yourself -- there are several tutorials for that on youtube! You just need something like notepad++ to do it!

I don't use mod managers unless It's the DAO Mod Manager for DAZips for settings!
Still the best party based real time combat RPG ever.
About extra dog space ... Does the item to call Mabari automatically appear in inventory? I'm not finding it
Adoring Fan it should do. When I installed it I didn’t need to use the dog whistle because the mabari was automatically summoned whenever I went outside camp.
i wish their was a mod that made it that your helmet never gets removed
HI! Thank you for the video! I was wondering what mod you use to make the elf warden ears look better? Thank you!
I didn't play this game till to this day because of the combat is there a mod that changes the total sluggish Ass combat ?
i put all my mods into my override and dazips in daomm but non of my hair and makeup will show. i downloaded chargen morph compiler and tried to use that but still wont work
have you checked your ChargenXML File {located in your documents folder} to see if they're showing up? If not the merge might not be happening! You can manually add them into the xml file instead!
Why on earth would I skip the Fade???
So I’m like going from ps4 to pc and unfortunately any modding I try to do I have no idea what anybody’s talking about so do I need to have other things downloaded in order to even start? The process is so long and tiring especially when you fail for at least 100 times😭😭😭
Sorry for the off topic question but could you tell how did you get that beautiful blue armor, please? I'd really like to have it with my city rogue elf!
I think it’s one of the RL Swan armours!
@@FoodThenGames Thanks for the info! :)
Is the DAO Redesigned mod a good one to look into or is Improved Atmosphere the better of the two?
I believe you can use the two together {at least I did for a while} And I think there are instructions on one of the two mod pages for how to make that work ... but to be honest I prefer using the newer overhauls for companions/npcs instead of DAO Redesign!
Dammit, I was just about to fight the Archdemon again...
Oh Man I havent played this since, well, DA:I came out, but now Im thinking I might do just one more play thru...
man I really wish I could have mods on console it always bothered me how in origins the grey wardens never have as cool of armor as they do so in the later games
I installed those mods and I am now missing most Skill descriptions :/ deactivating all the mods in the DAO-Modmanager doesnt fix it :/
Improved Athmosphere? What year is this? It's incompatible with pretty much everything.
Weird my nose bridge didn’t change at all for elves with bidelle’s cosmetics
What is the Name of the mod that changes the default armor in the character creation?
Thanks Complex
Welcome bro!
No thank YOU, dm
Thanks for this!
I subbed just because i like you're voice
Great Voice, Great video. :)
Hey, by the way, the Console Command Wiki link doesn't work(
could anyone help me with the cosmetic mod? i have mod manager and chargen morph, and i have it in my override folder but its not showing up in my game
My favorite game ever
I wonder if there is a mod that changes this interface to like in dragon age inquisition
As far as I know there isn't!
hey how do you compile two mods? bcs i have the bidelle cosmetics and more hairstyles mod and it's said that u cant have 2 chargenmorph xml files at the same time, helpp
There's a mod on nexus called chargen morph or something similar -- it'll compile them for you!
Or you can manually compile them yourself -- there are several tutorials for that on youtube! You just need something like notepad++ to do it!
Loved the Mods!!! thank you!!! and your voice and accent are really seductive
Beautiful voice!!! Thanks!!!
