Man... time flies! Saw them back then, when they played in Berlin. Still the best concert I attended in my life so far. I am absolutely hetero, but I sang along to this song, because I had so much fun. Remember a girl in the row in front of me looking around and smiling when she saw me going crazy. Probably thought I really identify as a "Girl". Hope to see IAMX soon, as I actually wanted to see Chris live since back then, when I discovered them one after another. That would actually be like a travel back to these good old days...
I saw them on monday too!! They were fantastic!! I hope i can see them again!! Preferably in london, since the walk there felt like the longest journey in the existence of journeys--but it was worth it!!

the whole point of the RID video is that it's badly executed, that you can see that it's all made from cardboard boxes, fits in with the bands DIY ethic.
anyway, I first built robot puppets with speakers in their chests in 2001 for a RID performance at the ICA, that's where I got the idea from.

i was looking through some random boosh stuff when i found a fan vid of noel (didnt know it was a fan vid at first) but there was music on it and i was like, that is kickass. didnt realise it was RID and now im hooked! i love electro pop anyway, but thought they brought a new attitude to it that was really cool.
I got lots of love for Chris & Noel so I dun like to bad mouth their chicks, but yeah, RID are nothing next to IamX and Sneaker Pimps. Chris Corner is a genius. He vomits good music. RID are catchy and ok, but their voices are nothing special at all.
