You fellas give superb reviews to all the movies you cover. Two thumbs up guys.
The director's 2nd film "The Lighthouse" is also a critically acclaimed masterpiece. So far, Robert Eggers is on a roll.
The scene where Tomasine "admitted" that she was a witch never rang true with me.
"maybe her broom is broken" LMAO!
One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I am an avid horror watcher and I just bought this on DVD, I don't bother buying dvds anymore unless they're spectacular. Glad you guys love the vvitch as much as I do. It's a masterpiece.
This is such an amazing film, mostly because it does its own thing and is not dictated by new-age filmmaking trends. It feels throwback, and it works wonderfully in a way films that look and feel new do not.
I love this movie! It's gorgeous, atmospheric, and quite authentic to the time period.
Great video again, this is one of my favourite films. Blood letting was an old medicinal practice that was believed to make you better by releasing “bad” blood from your body. That’s why they cut Caleb’s head.
I would highly recommend watching it with subtitles because it's makes the film a little creepier because you understand what the kids are singing and if you are struggling with understanding the dialogue it helps
You just blew my mind after suggesting they may have been hallucinating. Now I know what I'm gonna be re-watching tonight.
This movie sits with you and makes a home in the deep recesses of your brain.
Definition of a modern classic
The actor of the Father has the most epic voice 😂 I recognised it straight away from when I was playing the witcher 3 👌
You really have to be in the mood for this movie i feel, had a hard time getting into it the first time i watched it
That movie was such a breath of fresh air. I own the Blu-ray. It was very artsy and non-linear. It's such a break from the current trends in Horror and the many cookiecutter contemporary Horror films full of tropes and clichés. I love it. And Anya Taylor Joy is a really good, young actress.
Good review guys.
Gary, you should definitely check "Hagazussa" by Lukas Feigelfeld. German film. Think you will enjoy the atmosphere. Reminded me "the Witch" in some way. And thank you, guys, for a perfect review, looking forward for the next one.
Another fantastic insider into a movie, that I now want to watch! Please don't stop guys, fist bump, shelf-pound to the kings of online film critique - Gary and Iain!! Keep making awesome reviews guys!
I'm a fan of Anya Joy Taylor. She is an extremely talented actress. Admittedly, I find her quite beautiful.
My favorite movie of the 21st century, so far. Masterpiece! But turn on the subtitles!
