Dr. Freeman discusses the advanced technology and state-of-the-art treatments HCA Florida Ocala Hospital uses for conditions related to the brain, spinal, and nervous systems. That includes a procedure known as "awake" neurosurgery, in which patients with brain tumors remain conscious while doctors operate on them. "Many hospitals across the world ... don't offer this service. At HCA, we do it regularly," Dr. Freeman tells Beck.
