If you'd like to skip the learning and go straight to the track 1:25
Do you post tutorials and music lessons to?
Screw the track... the learning is just as important
You're a gem for adding this in, but HELL NAWWW! Watching you learn is the best bit!!! Really well done! 😃🤘
Fire3! 🔥
Most pianists don't play all the layers of this song. Thank you for not only playing this well but playing the song in it's true form.
She left out the secondary piece at 2:20 and focused on the sharper notes. FF7Remake chose the opposite emphasis and you can really tell how important that missing part is to the song.
There is the piano collections arrangement which is the best way to play it on piano.
That's where you see the genius of the creators of this game !
@@FutureDeep No wonder I felt there was something missing...didn't feel complete 😅
Still great that she's able to play it by ear though
You literally can’t play it all with two hands. Which is why most people miss bits out and why she has multiple recordings here.
Finaly a song so challenging that Lara had to not only take notes, but also had to split herself in three to play! (Very impressive, it sounds amazing for a hard piece learned in such a short time!)
kage bunshin no jutsu really works😂
You mean to say she had to go Cerberus on the piano :D :D :D
I think nobuo uematsu's music will be remembered and played forever. I think 100 years from now it will truly be considered classical music. It's just so iconic and complex. It's amazing what this man made composing music for video games.
He joins so many genres together and has created some of the best soundtracks of all time. What movies or series have over a dozen masterpieces in them ?
There was a point in watching this that I kind of zoned out while still watching the video. A few seconds later my brain recognized I was listening to this song, a few seconds after that I had to say to myself "Wait, this song doesn't have this much piano" and then shortly after that I remembered what I was watching.
So that in itself tells me just how incredibly well you played this. This was amazing, and I'm glad I came across the video.
Wow. The algorithm REALLY got this recommendation right. You did a fantastic job of not only learning it by ear, but by capturing all of the magic of the original song and bringing it to life with a real instrument. My favourite part in the original, 2:22, was my favourite part of your rendition, and you really did it more than justice. Good job! Subscribed.
I started learning piano 4 years ago at the age of 33. That's enough time for me to realize the amount of skill it takes for you to do this is absolutely amazing.
33 is fine, it may take ten years, but the time will pass anyway! So you might as well start!
@Jaeger19Ultima I'm not demotivated at all. My comment was just to express an appreciation of the skill level she is at. I also feel you get a much better appreciation for how skilled someone is when you do the same thing. I've got an idea of how much work it would take to get to her level, and I don't have any intention of even trying. Simply not enough hours in the day between work, kids, and other activities. I just appreciate that she did put in the work to be able to do what she does.
Don't ever give up. Keep on going.
starting at 33 take a long time to develop musical hearing required to learn songs by ear. but if starting as a child or even a teen, 4 years is more than enough to do that. definitely with this one.
Yea I started like 3 years ago but I'm not really trying to be a master pianist. I just want to be able to throw some keys onto the guitar songs I wrote lol. It was surprising how much my guitar knowledge translated to keyboard actually. The problem is I'm entirely self taught in both so I lack many fundamentals and I've been told that I'm basically trying to reinvent the wheel for no reason when I could take lessons, but I absolutely shut down anytime I look at sheet music and try to comprehend it lol
I don't watch Lara regularly.
And every time I see what she does - I believe I should.
Amazing work. Thank you.
omg, thanks for your work, I feel the way you find balance and precision in your playing is amazing. The way you include alternative sequence of a same melody is so good. Bravo bravo bravo.
This is phenomenal!! The talent is unmatchable here! It’s not an easy song to play and you learn this by earn and boom! Away you go! FANTASTIC!!
You deserve all the praise on this planet for this feat!!!
I am an amateur musician and seeing you pull this one out made me smile so much.
Great job and good luck in your future endeavors!!!
Thank you 🙏
I love how concentrated you are in this video. And switching back and forth between playing and writing (or both at the same time).
Really makes you appreciate what a complex melody writer Nobuo is
Simply amazing! Thank you so much for the effort and time you out into this ❤
Its like 3 am and this is what I end up watching. This drives me crazy. I worked so hard to learn this song... she has a truely special talent!
Iara: "If you'd like to skip the learning..."
I'm glad I didn't. I don't want to undersell the performance because it's incredible, but watching the learning process was the best part for me!
People don’t have attention spans these days!
WOW your hands moves so beautifully over the piano. It’s so mesmerizing 🤩
Thank you for the battle music, sounded amazing ❤
This is incredible. The attention to detail is astounding!
Lara, thank you for this today. It made my day better, and made me smile for the first time in many weeks. You are amazing to watch. FF7 got me thru tons when I was 17, the music has always stayed in my head when doing hard physical tasks. Please keep up the underrated work that you do.
This track is a real ear worm
Absolutely stellar!!! Incredible deciphering / arranging skills!

Really enjoying watching your process of learning a new Song. That is very inspiring!!!
It’s a bit longer in real time but I tried to make the video not-boring
Just wow!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!
As a life long Final Fantasy fan this is simple breath taking. Amazing work!
You've always done amazing things to Uematsu's works! It's rare I get goosebumps from listening to music, but they way you play his pieces always does it for me! Thank you so much for this.
Thank you 🙏
So well done! Absolutely loved it. That’s a hard one to learn, so you nailing it down this fast was damn impressive. Multilayering was such a nice touch as well. Great job!
This was amazing. I am a huge FF7 Fan and this song and your ability to play it blew my mind! Loved every moment! Well done, you are extremely talented
Amazing. Really captured such an amazing songs. Appreciate the additional layers too.
Wow, this is exactly why I love your work and watching you on twitch, you are amazing.
Hell of a first video of yours to stumble upon, brings make so many fond memories hearing you play it so well 😁
Fantastic! Beautifully done! You make my final fantasy heart very proud ❤
As someone who knows nothing about piano it scares me how much you know. It’s mesmerizing
Absolutely fantastic, as usual!
Absolutely genuinely incredible. It’s not an easy piece, no matter how you mix it or what you play it on, but you did the *entire thing* on your own, after learning it by ear?!?! Truly amazing!! I got goosebumps, it’s so good. ^_^
Yep, every layer is me
Glad I got recommended this. Liked and subbed.
Great stuff!
This is amazing! You played it so well
This song is beautiful and you delivered it so well ❤
That sounds frickin’ incredible! Love this song, love this game, love to see a cover done with so much justice!
Beautiful! Intense!
This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen and I just recently finished another playthrough of 7. I subbed after 5 seconds of you playing the track because I knew the rest was going to be good. This was done beautifully.
Outstanding job, Lara!
I wish you could see the big smile across my face. That was so impressive!
This song is my favorite battle them of all of the Final Fantasy games and one of my favorite pieces of music, in general. It's so catchy, it gets stuck in my head all the time, especially the fanfare that plays, after you win a battle.
Brilliant! Nostalgia in a can this!
Holy shit. Chills. I'm amazed you took that on as a LL and had the energy to CRUSH it. Nice job with the video edit too!
Yea I almost knocked it back!
pure talent, great job!
So impressive! Glad to have stumbled upon this gem.
You never fail to impress. Incredible work here!
Wonderful!!, I'm a beginner in piano, I started by the motivation of this type of videos, of my favorite games :) and with the objective of playing on my own.
Thank you for being part of my motivation and inspiration :)
You did it real justice, well done. Your thinking face is a fun expression!
This is mind blowing! You're amazing, Lara ❤️
This is amazing!
The moment when you discover a pianist and recognize from the first minute on that she has perfect pitch and uses this ability's full potential. Very nice and well played, I enjoyed it a lot!
Just beautiful piece of work!
Truly amazing! Thank you.
Beautiful job on a song that holds a special place in my heart.
amazing talent, keep up the great work!!
Wow. Found this randomly on the tubes and this was an amazing demonstration of skill.
she never ceases to amaze!
You are incredible! Just wow! Im at a loss of words 😂 you are so talented! You must have really put down the hours! Thank you so much for this video! And keep it up 😍
This is absolutely incredible, its like a full orchestra in a piano!
Wow, haven't heard you play for over a decade. So happy to see you're still spreading love through music. Great display of abilities!
Took me back in time. Loved this, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely incredible. 👏🏻
This blew my mind. I found this. Then i spent the next few hours listening to you nail every video game music i ever played. You are amazing. Im a musician myself. Your ability to transform music from your ears to the keyboard is absolutely remarkable. power to you. Youre amazing.
..
You are spectacularly gifted. I've listened to people play this song and you hit all the notes pretty much dead on, at least to my ears.
I don't know if I'm more amazed that you did it so well, or that you'd never done it before :)
It helps that the piece is an ear worm, but you played it with pizzazz.
I have managed to avoid playing this piece until now.
@@lara6683 I did the same thing with "those who fight further" (the boss battle music) on guitar. One of my favorite pieces of music of all time and perfect for guitar and I never touched it in 20 years of playing until 3 months ago. It took literally a few hundred hours to play up to speed and I still hit a bum note now and again (or a lot on a bad day), but it's nice to finally catch your white whale. No idea how you manage to play things so cleanly so quickly but BRAVO
@@lara6683 is it cause Kara just started her playthrough today?
Please share this if you can think of a good place!
That was fantastic, brings back so many memories.
Genuinely a thrill to watch this. Brilliant.
Incredible. Love it
Woah! So good!

Good Job , keep going!
Very strong feeling! So good!
unreal, so amazing
Just wow, honestly. How you manage all the intricate voices and remember it all and play this smoothly on first listen 🤩
I was concentrating so hard on the first layer - the foundation is the most important!
You are absolutely amazing in every way.
There isn't much I can't psyche up for with this track, amazing that you put it together so fast, but then that's par for you with such an "almost impossible task" 😁
It was edited of course, but still a matter of minutes
@@lara6683 *brushes shoulder
This is amazing!!
🎉thank you
So awesome
Absolutely Beautiful
One of my favourite songs of all time, so well played ❤ Merry Christmas!
thank you so much! sorry this is late!!
To be honest I was more surprised you didn't learn this song before than I was you were able to learn by ear. This is just the level of talent I expect from Laura now. 😁
I have studiously avoided it
@@lara6683 No one can avoid this amazing piece of music forever !
Amazing! You’re incredible!
Thank you so much!!
that was so good!
Damn, been listening to this song and it's many variations, covers and remakes by various artists for 26 years now...don't regret a single second.
A talent used for the greatest of good! Simply amazing! Gave me chills
That was so good❤
I just randomly stumbled on here and wow. Mighty impressive, amazing job!
