I am from Mexico and in my country there is not much about this work, although it is my favorite. That's why I have seen each and every one of the concerts on the web, even though they are the same work, they all have something different. This is no exception.
Thank you so much for this piece of art, everyone was great. My deepest respect and admiration to all. 🌹👏💘

Hard to argue with that. Gorecki's Symph No. 3 is a legit competitor. Handel's Messiah of course should be considered as well. Nonetheless, Mozart's Requiem is just incredible!

It reflects the historical and cultural contexts in which it was created, offering listeners a glimpse into the artistic and societal landscapes of different periods. Each era brings forth a unique musical language that contributes to the diversity of classical repertoire.

I love Mozart. I went to Germany and Salzburg in 1992. The people there were so nice and inviting. Food was great! I was always asked who I was. Evidently I some how in the face resembled Beethoven, disregarding my Robert Plant red blondish hair. Short story, I have more German blood in me than French and Italian. We are ALL ONE!

This conductor is excellent; there are some interpretations that are so slow that the piece loses its energy. Elisabeth Fuchs, on the other hand, is truly electrifying. She imbues the piece with a palpable intensity that some conductors simply miss. Her interpretation is nuanced and vibrant.

Did God pick out a common individual at birth and gave him the ability to recreate for humanity a sample of the music of Heavens? This is an emotional speculation by an agnostic.
