I can not thank you enough. After my dyson animal cylinder one broke down I had a big problem with what to choose. I have three pets at home and lots of hard floors, thanks to your review I know now that absolute will the best option for me. I have just ordered absolute v11, super exited. 😁
And how's your v11 after 9 months? I have the same issue - mostly hardwood floors and a lot of pet's hair everywhere. I wonder if that softroller will handle all that mess or get tangled easily.
We have almost entirely hard floors in our 1600 sq. ft. home, so we bought the Absolute in blue. Had it for about a month, can't complain. The soft roller head does work very well, and the mini motorized head along with the crevice tool works wonders in the car. Battery life varies depending on the tool being used, but we haven't dipped below 24 minutes of charge remaining. Your forearm will get a bit of a workout, and it would have been nice to have an LED light on the larger heads, but apart from those two minor complaints, we're very happy with the purchase. As far as cleaning power, let me say that this vacuum really does suck :)
Thank you very much for your video. I loved and really helped me to decide which one i will get! I will get the V11 Absolute. My house is most of hard floors. Thank you again
Thank you very much for the explanation. What I am still not clear about is how the comparison would end up if it is related to cat hair, as the name is "animal" should that then still be the better choice and buy the soft roller separately or would you go for the Absolute ?
Thanks for your review. Mix of carpet and hard floors. Is it better to get a v11 animal and then a new soft roller head for £60 or is there something else that might be missing? Also how well do these work for liquid spills?
Awesome review mate... I have a flexy hose but have never used it. Got it with my v6 Absolute. Just purchased the v11 Absolute... will probably use the flexy hose with it.
Have you ever tested the V11 filter before and after washing it to see how much particulate material is being emitted. The filter might not be as effective after washing it and continue to get worse with each wash
does the absolute have more suction/power than the animal? and does it have a smaller head for stairs? do the v11's have anti hair wrap feature? thanks for your review, really helpful
Thanks for the review. I just got the V8 absolute, And after having it for 3 days, I’m debating if I want to exchange it for the V11, they don’t offer the absolute in the states for the V11, but the stronger suction in medium mode is tempting me. Plus the longer battery life. I use the fluffy head multiple times a day in my kitchen to pick up cat litter and occasional cat food pieces, so I’m wondering if the weight of the new design makes it much heavier or bulkier? Thanks.
It is heavier but I find the handle slightly more comfortable on the V11. I would only worry about the weight for someone frail or with a disability where weight is a struggle.

Thank you for this. Thinking about getting the V11 (my first Dyson) but I was wondering about the performance of the soft head when it comes to pet hair. Got a lot of hard floors and a dog with long fur who sheds by the minute.
Great question, i thought the animal was for that pets!!!. Animal hairs and hard floor combination. I wonder would the long hairs from a collie dog get wrapped up the soft rollers
ph03nix NL Animal for Dyson is like Pet on other manufacturers vacuum cleaners. It is generally the exact same machine but with an extra small brush roller tool For stairs and upholstery.
At least in the US, the v11 animal has a b&w LED instead of the color LCD. The functionality is similar except that the LED doesn't have a live count-down feature, instead having a 3-section bar to show remaining battery life. I think it'd only make a big difference if you're frequently running out of battery and need extra insight to manage the charge.
@@leepspvideo oh really? They both looked similar, so I thought they both had torque driver heads. So I thought animal comes with torque driver head and not the one for hard floor?

@@Ohkeh640 You can just search it and order online. Watch more reviews, many stick vacuums aren't a completely sealed system, meaning there are tiny leaks in the housing structure, meaning the vacuum will be sucking up dust and blowing it in the air through the crevices. Whichever is cheaper on the day, don’t use it for liquid.

I’d recommend the Absolute 100% if you have hardwood because the roller attachment is special to the V11/V10 because of wattage
