That was the same thing as Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center's latest system as of 2002, when I last lived there! (Greenfield, NH) It apparently included True Alert voice evac speakers in the Carter Hall auditorium. And the usual horn type of True Alerts in the hallway just before the auditorium entrance. Carter Hall got renovated in 2000, IIRC. Before that, there was a Simplex 4051 that was real high up on the wall, to the right, when facing the stage, in the Carter Hall auditorium. In march-time, of course. ;) I saw a Simplex 4010, but not next to the remaining large Simplex 2001s at the switchboard... The switchboard room and possibly in the outer hallway, has a predecessor to the True Alert horns! I also found out that the switchboard used to have an outdoor siren!
Well of course it's going to be loud anyways, what with those TrueAlert horn/strobes (they are one of the loudest electronic horn/strobes ever made, along with the Faraday/Siemens U-MMT, the System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance and the Wheelock AS.)
Advances can be pretty loud, but they're nowhere as loud as the old electromechanical horns like the Simplex 4040. The new System Sensor L-series horn/strobes are a little softer than the Advances, though they sound alike.
The medical facility I used to work at had mini sounders along with the Genesis fire alarms. I never understood why they had them because the Genesis alarms were clearly loud enough.
Lived in a place that had those damn piezo mini sounders. System sensor model. And they killed my ears every time they went off. Unfortunately the honey will notifier setup they had there was trash and the damn thing had plenty of false alarms killing my ears each time. I hated that system.
Our building is interesting because it has bells in the hallways and mini-sounder horns in the units. It went off in January last year and went off five more times the fire department was there the whole time, but I had to put earplugs in to try to sleep. It was 2am after all. Is it normal for the horns to have that longer initial blast before the short blast. I’ve never seen that before.
I think those piezo sounds could be Gentex GX-90s. If Im wrong, then it could be the smoke detectors. Ik some apartments, they have smoke detectors with the piezo sounds built in them.
CoolSimasGuy they could be, I was just thinking since this was a Smartsync system, maybe the mini horns could be smartsync too. It’s entirely possible for me to be wrong though.
My middle school had a Simplex 4002 fire alarm system. I don't know how the coding was set but it did two sets of temporal then a long pause and then another two sets of temporal. My question is what is that coding?
Zane's Trains N Things An occupant got tired of hearing it and decided to take matters into their own hands. We later traced it back to the specific room and has since been reconnected. Also to answer your second question, generally 21 however each state is different.
OMG - those mini sounders are in my apartment bldgs here in WPB, FL --- VERY high pitched.Labeled by Gentex, sounds just like them.

1:55 the TrueAlerts sounded scary in the stairway..
I wish the mini horns would go off AFTER the true alerts would give a few seconds to cover your ears lol
My apartment had these with mini horns and it had a big renovation then put l series in the building now
Well of course it's going to be loud anyways, what with those TrueAlert horn/strobes (they are one of the loudest electronic horn/strobes ever made, along with the Faraday/Siemens U-MMT, the System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance and the Wheelock AS.)
wileyk209zback Rather I'm so used to the Advances or they aren't that loud but my high school uses Advances and they are not that loud

Jared Mauriello when i first got a spectralert advance, i was dumb enough to set it to high volume and turn it on in my bedroom. bad idea.
safe to say my ears hurt for awhile.
wileyk209zback my school has Siemens u mmts. Every fire drill we do I get to help. And they r really loud. They are set to code 3.
The medical facility I used to work at had mini sounders along with the Genesis fire alarms. I never understood why they had them because the Genesis alarms were clearly loud enough.
Probably a code issue where even though you could hear them, they weren't up to the required decibel levels
5:01 7002 T-ruealert? 😂
My Spectralert advance does that too
Very cool setup!
Wheelove Fire Alarms Thanks for viewing!
Good testing and cover yourself in case of certification proof , video and audio with tenant confirmation all in same trip ! !

Did mini horns sound like smoke dectors
Was it scary when the alarm went off with out you pulling it?
What is the purpose of a mini horn?
I love these videos, always a pleasure to watch :D
Also I want to ask, where do you mostly go to test fire alarms? Like schools or hospitals
Thanks for viewing. All my customers are commercial. So yes schools, hospital’s, industrial facilities, etc...
SAFETECH are you going to try and label what buildings they are in the titles? :)
4:23 the moment when the Seimons U-MMT is in your apartment room and then you hear the truealarts outside...
That's an outdoor truealert not a UMMT
@SAFETECH Do tenants of these places ever get angry or upset about your testing?
Chase71698
At times. Mostly just annoyed however I usually try to give advanced notice when I can.
You were able to use the annunciator without the key. Why is that?
Safeman4202
It’s how it’s set to operate in the program.
SAFETECH gotcha
2:15 thats kind of reminded me of how the spectr alert advance's activate
I think those piezo sounds could be Gentex GX-90s. If Im wrong, then it could be the smoke detectors. Ik some apartments, they have smoke detectors with the piezo sounds built in them.
Could also be the Simplex mini horns which I think are rebranded Gentex GX-90s if I'm not mistaken.
Gary Beltz That actually could be true. My old elementary school had Gentex GX-90 horn/strobes with Simplex logos on them
Yes they are Simplex rebranded GX-90’s
Maybe those piezo horns are the rare Simplex Smartsync mini horns!
trainerred206 Gentex GX-90s. Simplex actually rebranded them
CoolSimasGuy they could be, I was just thinking since this was a Smartsync system, maybe the mini horns could be smartsync too. It’s entirely possible for me to be wrong though.
No, all GX-90’s
SAFETECH oh ok
My middle school had a Simplex 4002 fire alarm system. I don't know how the coding was set but it did two sets of temporal then a long pause and then another two sets of temporal. My question is what is that coding?
Jonah Partain I think it's called California code.
Most likely generic temporal. 4002’s have a slower coding pattern.
Trainfreak 37 California code is for alarms in continuous. A continuous bee p pause then the same beep and then a pause is California code
How come about 10 seconds after the system finished the address code, the system would resound?
weatherdan882002
There was a trouble on the system from where a room sounder was disconnected.
Why was a sounder disconnected? How young can you be to be a fire alarm tech or inspector?

I thought that's what happened. Thanks.
@@ZanesTrains1972 the occupant must want to die
Have those same ones at my old high school.
Awesome setup
Once I heard a Truealerts go off in real life. It wasnt so loud at all
That's really surprising. I heard one go off and it was crazy loud.
@@StoverSports At walmart the other day they have Spectralert Advance so while I was at walmart they went off & they weren't really that loud
@@blueauraretriever wow if you didn't think an advanced was loud I don't even know what to say lol. I guess everyone has different hearing
@@StoverSports Those *specific* advances weren't loud idk about other places tho
@@blueauraretriever yeah that's true maybe it was on low volume or something
Do you know if the building was built with the TrueAlerts or was there another system before?
Goldenrod636
Not sure.
Goldenrod636 I am sure that there IS another series before the TrueAlerts. It is called The QuickAlert.
Awwww man I thought you were going to show us the mini Sounders😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😞😞
Still great video!
Thx for working so hard to make vids
Boss_cam Thank you. Glad you guys enjoy them! 😀
code 3 simplex 4010 system with truealerts an mini horns
What type of panel is the system
Simplex 4010
seriously why does it light up trouble/fault?
Probably so you remember to take it out of walk test.
Truealerts?!!!!!!!!
My favorite
Sounds like some of the neighbors dogs were not too happy when the alarms sounding.
Great video!
