Thanks. I had installed the hoses on the wrong ports of the primer bulb. I thought it pulled from the tank and pushed into the carb but it pulls fuel through the carb all the way from the inlet and returns it to the tank!
You gotta pull those 2 bolts all the way out from each side of the handle. The T20 bolts with washers. It will pop out right after. I'm just waiting for the right fuel line to put it all back together.
What am I missing?? I have the exact same chain saw, but it wasn't in near the bad shape yours was. However, I literally did everything you did in your video; however, it still will not start. I bought a new carburetor and when it wouldn't try to start, I pulled it and reinstalled it, pulled the kill switch and tested it, I made sure I had spark, pulled the muffler and the cylinder is shiny, fuel lines are not kinked, shot some starter fluid directly into the carburetor but nothing I've done so far will make it even try to start. Any suggestions where to go from here?
Try to start without muffler it could be clogged but im betting its flooded. Hold throttle wide open no choke pull till it fires keep it going till it sounds right
Ok, I was getting intermittent spark, so I changed out the ignition module and now I'm getting constant spark. The saw started after several pulls and once started it seemed like it was fixed; however, unless I kept pressing the accelerator it kept trying to die. Well, it finally died, and I'm back to where I started. I checked for spark again and it was healthy. I pulled several times with no choke, then I would choke it and pull several times, ect ect..it wanted to start a couple of times, but died instantly. This is after I've changed out the fuel filter, new fuel lines, primer bulb and new carburetor. Any suggestions?
I went back after it after sending my reply above...I found if I opened the throttle all the way, it would start with one pull, sometimes two; however, it wouldn't stay running for long with out hitting the throttle constantly. So, I found your how to adjust the carburetor video. I actually had the tool you spoke of, ha ha!! Anyway, that did the trick and I got this mofo running pretty well!! If I could buy you a beer I'd do so, but you'll have to settle for a heart felt THANK YOU!!
double check your fuel lines. make sure it is routed correctly. incorrect routing can flood it. make sure no lines are pinched. if everything looks good squirt just a little cleaner in the carb mouth. try to start. if it fires and shuts off turn the adjustment screw closest to the engine. just a touch counter clockwise. try. if still wont start turn adjustment screw closest to the air filter counter clockwise a quarter turn at a time choke try unchoke try keep going till it fires up.
Thank you for making this video. You’ve saved me a tremendous headache. I had the fuel line with filter backwards. Great job man!
Glad it helped

Pull muffler look in cylinder. Does piston have lines or is it shiny
@@smallengineguys it's shiny. Odd thing is with old carb it wud run for a few seconds n with new carb now it won't even start.
