A real-life minikit, an actual battle pack that doesn't have named characters or officers, affordable Captain Rex, a memorable mech, and Microfighters still being a thing?! This is one of the best waves we've had in a while...
the mech is memorable if not only due to how absurd it is
@@brendan.coyle2 mechs are meant for kids, sadly a lot of people forget that Lego is meant for kids, not just themselves
I mean all of us army builders love officers and without them you cant army build, unless you are 6-14 and aimlessly stack minifigures on a baseplate and pretend you are army building cause mandr is doing it then yeah officers are not needed for you. If you actually follow canon and army build you are desperately needing them. Smallest clone army is 9 clones of the same kind plus an officer or a sergeant. Platoon has 36 troopers and 4 officers/sergeants and a lieutenant. Company led by a captain needs 144 troopers and 16 officers. Biggest mandalorian army builders are forced to use expensive pauldrons to signify an officer, some are using mauls commanders for that spot and some are using mandalorian loyalists. For us that are actually army building and buying 100 of more battle packs its very needed and people that complain about officers usually get less than 10 sets.

I would actually pay 5 bucks more to get an officer or koska instead of imperial Mandalorian, it's a really bad army building battle pack cause most people either need only Mandalorian warriors or only need imperial Mandalorians and no one has any leadership or officers to actually build any of them. 30 bucks battle pack has the same issues as clone and droid army builders both struggle. Lego is ruining army building so big RUclipsrs that can't even army build wouldn't complain and send thousands of kids to spam them.

All of these sets are honestly top teir to me. I love how the Advent calendar is like its own celebration of Lego star wars. One thing you didn't mention is that the tie fighter had blue accents and the x wing was grey to mimic the original 1999 x wing and tie fighter. The figures are also amazing and I'm glad we're getting our third praetorian guard in this set

I love how it has the third Praetorian in it.
I love the chronological order of release for them in it. Its 2024 and 24 days so it makes so much sense!
I hope they'll make a standard version of Rex's Y-Wing, and they'll stop downsizing more star wars sets soon.

After mentioning the chronological order for the advent calender, it makes more sense why the xwing is grey instead of white. More closely matches the original set. Also minkit yes finally

Looking at the Imperial commandos helmet shapes, I honestly think we may have a possibility of finally getting clone commandos in the future
Words cant describe how excited i am for that advent calendar. Its a perfect way of celebrating 25 years of Lego Star Wars, including a bunch of little builds, similar to the minikit builds in the video games, while actually including a Minikit!
I loved collecting Minikits in the games when i was younger and playing the games for the first time! I just liked the design, which is why its my channel icon. Im looking forward to it!
They could add a new rebel over the 501st clone or New Republic pilot, that would be much cooler
Its really cool that the advent calender builds are all based off sets, like the 1999 X-wing or 2001 TIE fighter. As that Jedi T-6 Shuttle is in white its probably the 2009 one,

As a kid, I always wondered what a Minikit even is.
And it might be the images, but the helmet of that Rex seems too big. It's giving me chibi vibes.
It seems to just be a white canister full of bricks for the builds with a red/green button to open/close it

I have never cared for advent calendars personally. But the fact this one has a freaking minikit makes it an exception. Though I might just buy the build for the minikit separately 10 times so I could have physical builds of something I remember searching for when I was a kid playing literally every single lego star wars game. (Except for the complete saga).
Notice how the TIE Fighter and the X-Wing in the Advent Calendar are in the original LEGO colors. THAT IS AWESOME!
That X-wing mech is the closest thing we've got to a Lego Gundam since Exoforce
Have you seen Ninjago/monkie kid? They pump those things out every year. That being said, none of them come close to the original exo force vibe. That new city rollercoaster has a stealth hunter in it tho, pretty awesome

The new Paz Vizsla has side helmet printing and a lower line for the blue on the helmet.
As someone who is probably the #1 fan of the Lego mechs because I really like the concept of them I feel like a lot of the recent ones haven’t been very cool, but the X-Wing one I think looks so sick and I am totally gonna be picking that one up
I hate to be picky about the minikit, but why is it just missing the rounded 2x2 piece on the bottom? I hope that's only an error in the image.

The piece mould that would be needed for a 100% accurate mini kit doesn't exist.
@@jacobhyde1415 Look up lego piece 2654, that's the same rounded piece that's on the minikit, and I've even used it for my own minikit build.
I love the Rex minifigure and I think it was a great decision of Lego to release this set. Most people can’t afford the Venator so I think it is great that the minifigure will be affordable to everyone!

This is a VERY solid wave. The only thing I'd change is giving gideon a cape rather than a jet pack but i can do that for less that £1 anyway.
I know most won't see this but the Naboo Starfigher build has an actual chrome stud piece and that's awesome

Deluxe X-Wing is nice, the captain Rex's wiring is great for Rex.
Finally a non clone battle pack that I’ll buy multiple of. I’m not saying I don’t like clone and don’t want them it’s just that’s all we’ve had for the past 2-3 years

On the Luke’s mech set R2’s head should be on his shoulder and maybe have i5 transform from mech to tiny ship
Marketing idea: buying 10 advent Callenders lands you with 10 minikits, which you could trade in for any current starship set so you could actually play the game irl (I wish)

The normal 501st trooper has only appeared in 2 sets, one of them from all the way back in 2020. Every other blue clone has been either a 501st specialist or a 332nd clone. The normal 501st trooper being in this advent calendar is great
You get a whole tun of tiny ships in the Advent calendar, the Luke and Leia figures are great,
I read a few months ago regarding the Lego Star Wars Black Millennium Falcon coming out in August this year
I think paz helmet is different, he has a thingy on the side of his helmet, on the vertical bar with the hole on top, I have the old one and I don’t remember seeing that on him, but I can’t verify cause I am not home.

I was allready planing on getting the venator but even with the reveal of the captain rex y wing I think I still will get the venator cause I like the way it looks

Cool sets. Cool SW mech...weird to say that haha! But, still cool. The other sets are cool! Cool Battlepack, cool Advent Calender, cool Madalorian set, cool Microfighter. Cool LSW wave overall.

personally, I really love the captain rex's Y-wing, but imo, i feel like there should've been a different captain rex. and not the same one that came in a 650$ exclusive set.

I think that even normal clone trooper in advent callendar would be better. Or if it has to be 501st, at least include the jetpack troopers with updated helmet, that would be cool.

I think imperial comando helmet molds can be great for some of the badbatch figures such as for Hunter and Echo.

Luke Skywalker X-Wing Mech looks better than I expected it too. I expected pilot Luke in an orange mech. They actually made an X-Wing Mech suit. Might pick it up.
COMMENT 55- Even the parts included in the sets are awesome, especially the Paz Vizla and Moff Gideon Battle. The Advant calander has me blown away this year too, great minifig choices!
