After watching so many of your videos l think you and your partner are excellent teachers you speaking and her demonstrating keep doing what you do. Best
Your explanations are very clear. Your descriptions target the essentials of the technique. They are definitely very helpful to learners like me. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise.
I always admired the way your student, Slavik, the best Latin dancer in the world, doing the step two since I bought the DVD, " Dancing Basics with Passion " as it was first for sale , But never could do it with an understanding...... until 12 hours ago, watching your " Bend the knee and strike" exercise, and practiced all night mostly by myself in a Saturday night Dance. Thank you very much, Egils. George Wu, ARCHITECT, AIA, NCARB 2018-4-1
I have learned something I like very much , but I did not know how to do it properly. But I learned the secret of that from your video. Thank you very much again. George Wu, ARCHITECT, AIA, NCARB 2018-4-1
I posted a comment in your Google+ page, but have to say that these exercise videos are indispensable. They have great value and as for instructional videos on the Internet, your a Pioneer. May I suggest to create a category on your RUclips page titled something like "Dance Exercises" listing all exercise videos there... or create category "Ballroom Exercises" (and list your ballroom exercise videos there) and "Latin Exercises" (and list the latin ones there). That would help us find these valuable videos faster.
I think this was how Slavik, the best Latin dancer in the world, did the same exercises many years ago when he started. BEND THE KNEE; STRETCH THE ANKLE AND TOE. George Wu, ARCHITECT, AIA, NCARB 2018-3-31
Thank you for sharing unselfishly. Donnie Burns would never do this because he did not want other people get the world title when he was still had it ! George Wu, ARCHITECT, AIA, NCARB 2018-4-1
Question - Re:Forward Walk Exercise. 1. When bringing the leg back beside the other, bending it, does the weighted standing leg bend a "bit" too or does it remain "straight"? 2. As I understand Cha and Rumba, there is a slight upper body forward lean over the forward leg, correct? Thanks
Thanks for questions. 1. In forward walk exercise when free leg passes standing leg, then standing leg remains straight. 2. One could lean forward but important is to keep long lower back.
+Egils Smagris 1. Thanks 2. No hunching, got it. Similar to Ballroom standard, lengthen the upper body, keep firm and straight, except with a small lean forward. - Thanks.
