    I’m recovering from HEAVY Vyvanse abuse (was taking up to 350 mg a day which is like 140 mg of Adderall) and I found this to ease my pain. I’m 10 weeks clean now. Thank you ❤️🙏🏻 God bless you and everyone who is struggling!

      Don't abuse stimulants! I'm an upper guy myself. I used to take Prolintane. Sometimes, I take Modafinil or Armodafinil. I sometimes take small amounts of Propylhexedrine. I always wanted to try Methiopropamine (MPA), which is 1/4 of the strength of Amphetamine or Adderall, 3-Fluoromethamphetamine, and Ethylamphetamine (Speed) which is slightly stronger than Amphetamine but much weaker than Methamphetamine. I will never try meth, maybe just speed and RC stimulants and cognitive enhancers. I use stimulants for studying and energy and a moderate confidence boost, not a high. Modafinil, Armodafinil, Flodafinil, and Hydrafinil are wakefulness enhancers, not stimulants. I generally drink a lot of caffeine though.

      Currently on my journey to quitting racemic methamphetemine after 3 years of usage, honestly I'm not to scared of saying goodbye to it forever as I've realised the reason for which I was using, absence of true love is what the reason. I think the void ive had for so long is why ive always abused drugs, I've met a girl online, who is clean and very caring, really attractive and we share a genuine connection whome i can be honest with about my life with no judgement and I've decided I'll quit if it means building a life together, and for kind of wholeness i feel meth cant compare.
      Goodluck on your journey my dude.

    I don't feel the comedown as much as described. But the high is not that intense even after insufflating 60mg of amphetamine, it removes the hunger and makes me happy, dance, talk, etc. A better person. And I keep with my life where I left it.
    The key is to know your limits to not go beyond them even if you don't feel the pain. Eat at the exact same time you normally would, or at least two hours before the comedown. Drink a lot of water, small quantities distributed over time.

      That is for YOU. Amphetamines are powerful stimulants, whether it be regular amphetamine aka dextroamphetamine aka Dexedrine, or 3-fma, 4fma, 2-fa, 3-fea, etc etc and that is a fact. They can and do create powerful highs, and this is why people end up addicted. It is a great idea to keep doses low and slow, but let's be honest, people are using these drugs to get high. Not everyone, but a lot. So we have to face that fact.

    I find it odd that you think street doses and prescribed doses are typically a different thing... In my experience the people who buy the stuff under the 'counter' are taking the exact same medication as the prescribed doses at the same numbers, of course there will always be higher usage within reason.

    • @sparktite

      Also you kinda lost me at the, this is how people who typically take it as a street drug bit, I'm not so much interested in the effects of abuse, but the actual typical effects of it on someone with and or without adhd.

    Can Psychological Withdrawal [13:04] be successfully treated with methods of Neuroplasticity therapy...?

  • @betweenworlds4869
    @betweenworlds4869 3 года назад +5

    Hi Elliot, thank you for the amazing videos. I wondered how you can call the withdrawal purely psychological, when it is scientifically established that both methamphetamine and amphetamine cause severe damage to neurotransmitter systems (particularly the dopaminergic system) in the brain? Isn't the withdrawal a mental consequence of the physiological state of severely inhibited dopamine production? Which then normalises, to some extent, over time? The brain is 'ill' in the sense that these systems have been disrupted, and the user no longer has the substance to mask these abnormalities.

    • @snicker576

      Very well spoken, and totally agree!! I think the narrator is mistaken on this/too simplistic

    • @floweuphoria999
      @floweuphoria999 2 года назад

      I mean it’s foolish to talk about the brain in any regard that uses absolutes. We don’t know why the dopamine actually makes us feel that way other than the fact that we evolved to fuck and eat so our brain rewards us for doing those things everything past that is largely shit that happened on accident

    • @floweuphoria999
      @floweuphoria999 2 года назад

      You’re not masking an abnormality with the drug so much as you are using it as a coping mechanism And then your brain feels like it’s rewarding you for doing so so it’s a compounded issue

    Even small therapeutic doses makes you dependent on that very small dose. So you feel truly aweful if you don't take your med. You have to take them just to feel normal. It's a double edged sword. You exchange something for another. But, sometimes it's worth it. You'd rather to take your pills to feel normal, but not to behave like an ADHD freak making life a misery for yourself and the others. Also, a lot of great things that you see in the world, have come out of the mind of those who were on these drugs! I can just say that it's extremely powerful. Think it as a high calibre shotgun. If you think that you have that kind of personality to abuse a weapon, then better not to keep it in your households. Great video by the way. This is the approach that must be taken by governments to make true and effective awareness. Coming out and saying "it's bad for you because we know better than you" won't work, as it it never did. I need to know what the thing is, how it works, how I would react to it, then I can decide consciously as for whether the thing is bad for me or not. Well done and keep of the great work. Cheers.

    • @summerbiby1496
      @summerbiby1496 3 года назад

      In a therapeutic dose, do you think rather the comparison of a 'normal' or more accurate amount of dopamine being available to the ADHD brain, is the reason you want to take the drug? Less about addiction, and more about the balance of your brain?
      I know I can live without adderall, but, why would I want the struggle? It seems silly to me. Intellectually, I know my brain has a dopamine deficit, and taking my prescription adjusts that to a typical level, no euphoria. It just makes logical sense to lean into the treatment that balances my life.

      @@HPgraffitiUL Yeah, this guy sounds like he aquired his knowledge from a 30min documentary rather than proper research or experience. I usually take my vyvanse in a really inconsistent pattern, sometimes several weeks as prescribed, a couple days off and occasionally even extremely high doses for a couple days and i'm completely fine. The worst thing that can happen is like you said that you feel bad the next day, but a low dose the next day actually compensates that. And that's just referring to my vyvanse usage, the same applies to large doses of speed but usually stronger and with a couple more side effects like halucinations, delusions, etc. but that is more linked to the huge sleep deprivation in combination in my opinion.

    • @Artreo69
      @Artreo69 Год назад

      This is why I think that methylphenidate (ritalin, etc.) are better for treating adhd because eventhough it is not as strong as amphetamines it has a less addicting effect. I take ritalin for my adhd and I only take it on workdays and don't on weekends and I never got a bad withdrawal reaction so I think methylphenidates are actually better

      Smoked 2g in the last two days, I feel great, work tomorrow so Im done until the am. Used to take vyvanse 60 twice daily in high school and it seemes to have a better effect on my concentration of producing, I've never had an issue of absorbing information whether I was paying attention or not, my brain would just over heat and cause extreme anger/anxiety once I started physically doing what I have written down and concluded to be a solution. Adderall 110 x2 daily in elementary -middle school worked great, but I had no personality and was essentially mute lol. After I began vyvanse in around the year of 2010 or so.. Not sure when I did, but doc said maybe it's a safer and more effective drug to use to help with my lack of appetite, lack of personality, stuttering, ticks, etc. Vyvanse worked as the most effective legal drug I could use. Moved out of parents directly after high-school to begin working and becoming a productive human. My weird attitude, rude/funny/irrelevant outbursts, intense amounts over conversating people and annoying them got me fired a lot. I started smoking weed and it helped with my over Bearibg and obnoxious personality; in return it made me slow, terrible with listening, instruction following, and over auditorial comprehension so I decided to attempt self medication. Began a regiment of ice/crystal several years ago(only smoke) started out with just a small amount everyday. Maybe.3 a day for the first year.. Second year I got way too comfortable with it and was doing it w new "friend groups" and abusing it to the max... Was a bad time. By elliots definition I was a regularly hourly smoker, sometimes up to 3g of self consumption In a day. Never lost my job, except one time and it was for being late cause I slept in too late from a 6day binge... Quit the clear crystal for a whole year after I got fired. Could finally afford my adhd meds BUT they weren't very effective. I was still off task and frustrated with my self and had no appetite. Having grown a little will power, moving to a different state to remove myself from bad friends and influences, I am now on year 3 almost 4 of responsibly and effectively self medicating myself and never being suspected of being a drug user by coworkers (random drug tests) I'm calm when I want to be, my mind is never calm (iq:187). But I no longer eye fidget, leg shake, mis understand directions, frustrate myself over complex jobs/installations(construction/service journeyman plumber industrial, Comercial, and residential) and am aware of desoxyn but not sure of if it will compete in effectiveness or not.

      @floweuphoria999 2 года назад

      Yeah I don’t think you know what psychosis is. It sounds like you had a panic attack because we’d today is so much stronger than it has been traditionally. A panic attack and feel like you’re dying like you’re having a heart attack It’s not something to be taken lightly. To put it in a frame of reference for you i’m pretty sure your Endo cannabinoid system manipulates your dopamine in a way that similar to food which is one of the highest reward concentrations that can occur outside of putting a substance in your body, compared to amphetamine six times that amount of natural dopamine and methamphetamine 11 times that amount of dopamine. I’m not aware of anything that releases that much dopamine but it’s not just a dopamine it’s all of the other neurochemicals in conjunction harmoniously have an entourage effect that is super bad

      I've cut down to smoking 40mg every other weekend. At my peak of use I was smoking a point every other day, but that only lasted a season because I had never really gotten into it before. I'm a pothead and I don't drink alcohol, so I'm not really your pen and paper type, but I'm sure I have appropriated plenty of usage amongst such people. I can't say much more for meth than it got me off caffeine, helps me release my sexual energy and promotes an atmosphere of wealth. I'm not into downers, so it makes sense that my conversion to methamphetamine has been nothing but positive. Quitting caffeine is like getting off heroin though.
