It's wonderful that you are buying out the time to bond with your son. You are a good team as parents. Loved the "treasure" activity. Such a great idea. ❤
Totally relate to the newborn stage, and when you have a toddler too! We were also sleeping in shifts and it's so so hard. It's a rollercoaster, the highs of getting to know your new baby and showing them off to everyone, to the lows of sleep deprivation and how that affects you mentally and physically..plus our toddler had to adapt too, not easy for little ones. It gets better quite steeply. My baby is 7 months and we've just started to get our evenings back, the space parents need to reset. Keep being the best team and you'll all be great ❤
It has been 10 years since the so-called golden age of youtube. The days of Digifest and vidcon and want have you. Jim, you were one of the huge crew that I used to follow then and clearly still do. You have been such a delight to see mature in the last decade. You’re so thoughtful, handsome and well spoken and your lovely little family is so lucky to have you. And so are we 😊
Thank you for keeping it real Jim, and showing that it’s not always a perfect little bubble. I personally think social media can be great, but equally it can be the worst thing ever. There is so much more pressure put on people for everything, and new parents are included in that. Back in my day of having kids we just had to go through pregnancy with no apps trying to tell us min by min what our insides are doing, or should be doing, or telling us how we are feeling etc. nowadays everyone seems to think that the first 12 weeks of pregnancy are horrendous, and for some they are, but equally a lot of woman sail through it. Then when we had our kids we just had to go with the flow, and get advice from midwives, and friends & family. Now you have all sorts on SM and I’m sure it can be over whelming more than helpful. You and Sarah have filmed just the right amount IMO, no day by day account of pregnancy, and every single issue that may have arose. Sometimes too much info can be over bearing, and even put people off. Everyone has to experience Pregnancy, birth and being a parent for themselves as everyone is different, and people have been doing it for years without SM, white noise machines etc etc. Congrats for not over loading us, and of course for having such a gorgeous family ❤❤❤❤ xx
It's so hard juggling small kids. I had a 19 month gap, and it was hard! I remember everyone saying your love doubles but initially for me it felt like it had split because I was trying bond and get to know my new baby and my toddler was being really hard and I was trying to make sure he didn't feel any difference in attention.... and I was just too exhausted. Everything came right. My love did double as everything balanced out, and we didn't know any different, but it did feel like a different bonding experience
It's not uncommon for men to struggle with post natal depression, particularly after they have their first son it seems. Many different feelings can come up.
Margot is literally the union of you two, I can clearly see both of you in her expression ❤
Margot is the perfect combination of mom and dad! Beautiful children!
