Introducing the curious North Island Brown Kiwi, the energetic Tasmanian Devil, the sociable Little Penguin, the smiling Quokka and the majestic Spectacled Flying Fox in its Walkthrough Exhibit.
Build a bright and colourful zoo with over 200 pieces of vibrant scenery inspired by the beauty of the Pacific region. Focusing on natural building materials such as dried leaves, wood, fibres, and weaves alongside patterned heavy carved wooden decorations and colourful flower adornments, their authentic beauty is enhanced by the vivid colours of the land.
Say ‘Hayo’ to familiar faces! Reuniting again with Bernie Goodwin and Emma, his daughter, try your hand at our brand-new campaign scenario set atop the blissful sun-soaked island that is the Goodwin Family Wildlife Park. Will Bernie be able to let go of the reins whilst you help Emma build the zoo from the ground up, and have you got what it takes to support this family project?

OMFG I just can't believe we are really getting a Quokka!! I am just SO excited to see more of it ❤ Other than that also great pack! I think the foliage is going to be amazing and also really looking forward to the Little Penguin (finally another semi-aquatic animal) 😅 and Kiwi ❤

Hopefully tree kangaroos instead of quokkas. More common in zoos being the main reason

Interesting. Kiwi are typically nocturnal animals that usually require special dark exhibits for guests to be able to see them - be interesting to see how this game approaches them!
We see them in front of the burrow there at the end so I think that’s a good sign.
Well all the animal in the nocturnal pack just do their thing all the time - artistic license!
I already have an idea for them where guests can only view them via the new viewing domes. Their habitat is completely closed off otherwise.

only one new zealand bird, which is fine despite NZ being known for birds but they didn't represent them accurately.
It's just weird as a kiwi seeing them walk around during daytime.. around humans.. lol
Like they're nocturnal and really antisocial too.
It's still cool i just think that it's funny that they had one job and somehow failed

Wasn't really expecting another bat, but I ain't going to complain. One because I actually never heard of this bat before so I think it's cool, the other being I've literally wanted the other animals here for a long time... still waiting for my Sichuan Takin though 😅

Yes! I’m so glad that kiwis, Tasmanian devils and little blue penguins are in the game. I’m also interested in those spectacled flying foxes. I wonder if you can mix them with those Egyptian fruit bats. If I had the game and all the DLC, I would build an impressive nocturnal house that would feature almost every nocturnal animal in the game, including the Tasmanian devils, quokkas and kiwis. I would also add five exhibits on the right side for lions, hyenas, painted dogs, striped hyenas and cheetahs, which would also have indoor viewing inside the nocturnal house. It would also feature two walkthrough exhibits, one for bats, and another for sloths. What would you do if you had the Oceania DLC pack?
We really didn't need the blue penguin as a DLC animal, we already have 2. There so many more interesting animals we could have instead of the penguin and the bat.

@@SirKolass we literally got the quokka which can only be found in aussie and asian zoos instead of a tree kangaroo and you're complaining about a not-super-common-but -still-a-species-you-can-find-in-captivity-animal. It would be good if they made a extinct species pack, not like mammoths and dinosaurs, I’m talking about Quaggas, Great Auks, Moas, Tasmanian Tigers, Dodos, Golden Toads, you know the ones that should have stayed alive if it wasn’t for humans.

This game is absolutely amazing and continues to improve. It's fantastic that myself and my 7yr old son, and 5yr old daughter, can continually enjoy the game together. Never stop!!

IT'S awesome the tasmanian Devil is finally in the game but its strange this pack is in September instead of October, maybe we are getting something big in the next pack in December?!

Thank Heaven Planet Zoo welcomed back the Tasmanian Devils after a decade, and it's the first Zoo Tycoon Game to have Kiwis? Thank goodness, and the Flying Foxes returned as well! But after the Blue Penguins and the Quokkas (close enough to bettongs, bilbies, and bandicoots), all we need now are please a few more key animals (Such as Walruses, Markhor, Manul, Colobus, and Baboons) as well as our Aviary, Petting Zoo and Aquarium animals such as Vultures, Owls, Parrots, Swans, Gentoos, Ponies, Navajo Sheep, Chickens, Arapaima, Piranhas, Trout, Reef Sharks, Stingrays, White Clouds, you name it!

When will the DLC for fish, sharks, stingrays, etc., in addition to river fish, be in your aquarium system?

Haven't played it in a while after the last DLC was disappointing, but the Quokka....omg
In hindsight, while all of these work and are good, Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo would’ve worked better in place of the Quokka. That way, the pack would’ve felt more wholly Oceania, given it being exclusively in Papua New Guinea, as opposed to just incidentally so via the Spectacled Flying Fox. And both are endangered, so you don’t lose the conservation focus.
God I wish I could afford this game. I’ve been following updates since the beginning and just ACHING to play…I just still can’t even get myself the base game yet. I’m trying to play through all the ZT1 scenarios properly to put my heart for design at ease but it just isn’t doing it anymore. If I ever win the lottery (or literally just food+shelter security) I know what the first thing I’ll be doing is!
