Im 16 and my hair is about his texture when i was younger, around his age, i had really soft grade c hair, my hair texture got courser over time and im glad. That baby is so blessed to have all that good thick hair
His locs have definitely grown a lot! And you're right, if I didn't watch the first video I wouldn't have known he decided to get creative with the scissors lol. If you don't mind me asking, what's in the oil mix you used for his retwist? I'm looking to transition away from interlocking next month
Is just me that notice that a good percentage of kids.... The first time they get scissors they always go for the hair. I know i did it and i had a huge bald spot in the middle of my head 😂😂😂😂
YoungH1983 no no no! never use grease on your scalp when u have locs. mango and lime products are great! u can find this line of products at any hair store including Sally's. but keep blue magic out of your hair as it slows down hair growth and clogs your scalp pores. beewax and mango and lime hair products is the way to go.
YoungH1983 everyone i know with locs or just natural fro's use hair oil. some make their own oils for their hair. one of my favorites is carrot oil. but read those labels on the hair products if it says petrolatum do not buy or use. target sells way more natural hair care products too. do not even waste your time at Wal-Mart. just experiment and figure out what works best for your hair and scalp.
He was determined to his locs and they look so good on him. I'm sure he really appreciates his auntie for doing such a good job on them 😊
so awesome, his locs are growing so nicely, looking forward to more updates!

Do you use any locking gel? I'm a month with coils and my hair isn't locked.
no gel at all. its best not to use it or use very little in the beginning stages
Beautiful
what do most people put in their hair in between time before the next maintenance... sheen, gel grease...?
not sure what most do. I like to use hair lotion and oils after spraying water
+DXLYN locs oh OK... I just got mines done& the gel is sort of flaking... I don't know what to do next...
