Marsh, you've been such a great inspiration of mine ever since I started listening to your music. Thx to you and Anjunadeep for this video, content like this really helps me out as a producer. Would gladly love to see more! 🙏🎶
the original was a beauty and the marsh remix was just stunning!! it is so much inspiring to see how much effort goes into the production of tracks which we get to hear like this!!! you nailed it Marsh!!
Please make more of these. This is an insanely good resource for newer producers. Veteraned talent get the chance to get more up close and detailed with their productions, as well as a way to make the artists more approachable and down to earth. Really enjoy this series. Thank you! I'd love to see some powerhouses like Ilan and Yotto to go through their tracks.... if willing.
Marsh....your music is deeply soulful yet airy. I have loved listening to your music since you were a guest on ABGT and your new mix on anjunabeats is amazing. You are my "go to" for any situation and I especially love that my three kids love it as well. I've heard alot of DJs but there is something very unique and special in the music you create. It definitely makes my ears perk and the rest follows :) I'm very bummed I won't get to see you at the weekender but putting out into the universe my wish for you to come to Austin. Would love to see you live!!!!! You are amazing and wonderful! Thank you for sparking joy!!!
Gold Dust!!! Actually learned quite a bit from just that short video.. Wish we could see more of these, so so hopefull... Nice one Marsh and Anjunadeep.. Massive thumbs up man.. 👍
This was fascinating to watch. You picked a great song to put your spin on. I liked hearing what you chose to use, and why you chose to hear it. Great mix, and cute cat!
Thank you so much to have shared your music Technics !!! Very inspiring video. Question,, did you get the layers sounds from Luttrell's ? Thanks a thousand times again for all the details of mixing and mastering production, especially the kick&bass in Pro-Q. Big hug to your cats !!!!
Hey Phil, I found some of the pad / atmosphere layers in an old drum and bass sample pack. Lots of sample packs have small pad / atmosphere samples which you can use and process to create the same effects heard in my remix!
what's your "stereo out" track you show at the end? Do you have like one track for mono and one for stereo so you can process each one separetely ? lovely cats by the way
My stereo out is my master channel, sometimes I will switch it to mono to see how the track sounds but typically I don't process the track in Mono. The cats say thanks!
Hi mate.. See your pads, Uplifting.. Saw... Retro... String... are each of they pads layered? For example is ure uplifting pad layered with another pad, is your saw pad layered with another pad etc, etc??
I'm currently using the following on 90% of my tracks. Roland SH2, Roland SH101, Sylenth1, ES2, Alchemy, Diva and pretty much everything from Komplete 11 - FM8, Massive, Absynth, Reaktor, Kontakt and Battery for drums etc. I like to get to know what I own rather than just splashing out on new plug-ins - as tempting as that may seem!
Hi Marsh, i was referencing your Believer remix track and Luttrels Still dreaming track, with a track im working on, and you guys have a visually noticeable pumping in the high, mid high range, is that from the compressor you place on the buss? (2db gain reduction at 14:53) also i love your work!
Hello Marsh, It has been a nice training video, thank you very much. What I wonder is you usually filter the soft transitions of the instruments or do you provide volume fader automation?
Hey man can you spell the name of the plugin you used to see waveforms of the kick compressed ... specsescape or something? Can’t find it the free plugin thank you for your time with this!
@@addictedtometal1 You are welcome, champ! Yes - I meant Logic Pro X - I would say Fl Studio is not too complicated. Cubase is not too easy bro. Logic caught my attention from the beginning but did not invest in it. If you are to produce Trance and Progressive - most popular are: Ableton Live Suite, Cubase and Logic Pro X - They are expensive, man! Then search some courses on the internet. Invest in your knowledge as an up and coming producer. The journey is long!
@@josepalacios2819 Great. Thanks for the knowledge. Hope to stay in touch with you and see how my journey goes. Do you have anything that you have produced so far?
@@addictedtometal1 absolutely man, search on youtube. Jose Palacios - In the end of the spectrum. Be patient since this is a difficult industry to succeed. 🙏

Love these production walkthroughs. Would have never heard of those plugins before. Great work Marsh!
The cat tray tip really helps. If something doesn't smell right... it's time to let your ears rest as well... lol

I'm also starting to believe there is a correlation between electronic music and cats. My cat never leaves the room when I'm making a track 😂

What software should I invest on to start making progressive tunes?
No specific software. You choose one and stick to it. I use Cubase. I want to experiment with Ableton. Marsh is using Logic as I can see.
