@@ChargedCycleWorks will see you there! If I might offer some tips to make your life even easier this year 😅 buy the softest mousse, then drill holes in it! You can find the right spacing with some online research. From the clip of your playing with the knobs tire still looked too stiff. Yes you can't skim the rock gardens wide open without a care anymore but you also won't get stuck as much. Lose five seconds in rocks, gain two minutes on hills. Also, rotate your handlebars back so that it's easy to reach them while sitting at the very back of the seat, no leaning forward or reaching required. Comfortable. And if you can, scoot those pegs back too. Anything to get weight on the rear tire. Try parking it next to a trials bike to see what you want ideally. I'll see you there this year, looking forward to seeing the ebikes race! I may race my custom esupermini if they still do the race in the morning, but might prefer the gasser since I don't think my MX oriented build will finish. Let me know if you've got an extra bike you need ridden 😉 or if want to get some training in before! I know it's a bit different than your riding out west!
We typically run 54t on our 19/16 wheelsets and 60t on 18/21. Nate typically runs a smaller tune for more controlled power. At TKO his tune was set to 12kw, but he was mostly using 3/5 of the power on that tune during the race 7-8kw. With the APT displays you can setup your bike with either 5 power settings or 9 power settings and his was set at 5 and he was using 3 out of 5 most of the race. Big power was not helpful during this race, the conditions were far too technical.
@@ChargedCycleWorks Cheers I’m about to upgrade my controller for trail & enduro use & was thinking a 8.5kw would be enough. I also have a 58T on stock but may drop down to the 54T see how it goes! Is the throttle stock as mine seems a little on or off & would think something more controllable would be better for events like TKO??
Well hopefull the next modle in 2023 wont overgeat as fast However suron really isant built for long rides in my opinion its for short 1 to 2 hour fun ride and short jumps
As surrons are used more and more in competition the aftermarket is gearing up to improve the overheating problems on the surron, expect to see more solutions for this by next year.

Nice video 👍🏻 What kw tune were you running on the BAC4000 & rear sprocket size?

is there anyway to get that skid plate in the UK?
Probably not, but look to see if AXP has one, they are made in EU
What is the dash display on this bike
That is the APT display that comes with the EBMX BAC8000.
that throttle cable looks bloody tight
LOL the last minute handlebar swap left some loose/tight ends like the throttle cable that needed adjustment.
The course was so easy....but surron overheating was the problem....

That looked mad! Hey how did the motor and controller survive going for a swim? I'm wanting to waterproof mine if possible.
Fix that throttle cable. C'mon man!
