    • @VikingPilot
      @VikingPilot  5 месяцев назад +2

      Then don’t talk! My buddy zeplington makes amazing build videos and Timelapse videos without saying a single word.
      Figure out how to work to your strengths.

    • @amnesia9231
      @amnesia9231 2 месяца назад +1

      I am on the autism spectrum too and it probably comes across in my amatuarish videos to date. I think developing your confidence in speaking will come with time and that you can always practice it by doing test videos. Some people find the over-the-top loud personalities talking incessantly in the mic distracting for content. If it helps some of my favourite youtubers tend to be on the spectrum. You will find there are people who prefer to listen to 'plain' voices because it is less grating and people will value you if you provide contextual relevant information to the game rather then wacky over-the-top attention-grabbing soundbites all the time. Also focus on the positives on your diagnosis, people with autism tend to be good at hyperfocusing on a subject they are interested in and tend to be technically better suited to playing minecraft because they are capable of understanding details others might struggle to grasp (Im looking at Gregtech which 95%+ of players probably have a diagnosis of some kind). Sometimes you can talk a little about your journey and come up with a loose 'plan' of what you want to achieve in an episode. And if talking is a real struggle (I know non-verbality or partial verbablity can be be a feature in diagnosis) you can creatively edit in words into your videos with using software like DaVinci Resolve. If you ever want any honest feedback and suggestions regarding your streaming journey feel free to get in touch and I will be happy to help :)

    Quick List of the Tips mentioned
    1. Choose videos you want to make
    2. Figure out your style
    - You can emulate your favorite youtubers for inspiration. But do not copy
    - You will find your voice and style over time
    3. Pick your platforms
    - Depending on the platform can guide your content
    4. How to actually start
    - OBS
    - DaVinci Resolve
    - It's about the content and execution
    5. Do not spend money
    - Use resources you have and use them
    - Equipment does not equal success
    - Be resourceful
    6. Ask friends for help
    - What are friends?
    7. Learn from every creation
    - Every video you make is a learning opportunity
    - Look at what you did and your most recent stuff. See how the quality is
    8. Start Editing
    - When you record. You have raw footage. That footage has to be edited to be turned into a video.
    9. Consistency is Key
    - Quality over quantity.
    10. Just Start
    - Essentially waiting for the perfect moment to start will never happen.
    No sub points. Just a list
    1. Choose Videos you want to make
    2. Figure out your style
    3. Pick your platforms
    4. How to actually start (obs and davinci resolve)
    5. Do not spend money (you can do it all for free)
    6. Ask friends for help
    7. learn from every creation
    8. Start Editing
    9. Consistency is key
    10. Just Start
    Just wanted to say this was a great video! Really enjoyed it. It was pretty well put together and I am happy that people can have genuine content rather than baiting for views.

    Great tips! But what if you don't have any Minecraft or RUclipsr friends? I only started RUclips and playing Minecraft recently (the channel is documenting my journey from a non-gamer to a gamer), and the only channels I know of are larger channels? I want to be able to collaborate with people that focus on PG-13 content, and want to form a wholesome community (similar to HermitCraft). The only friend I have interested in gaming content creation doesn't have a computer yet, so he can't create any videos. What would your advice be (I also have zero networking skills, too)?

    • @VikingPilot
      @VikingPilot  2 месяца назад +1

      keep making content. improve yourself and your content. eventually people will find you and want to collab with you. also by creating a name for yourself, people will start to respect you more at face value (as shallow as it sounds, people see bigger number and think better). So just keep creating.

      @@VikingPilot Thank you! I've been trying to get videos out every week, but I can start feeling myself burning out a little. I think I've decided over this past weekend to try to focus on the quality of my videos and to post every couple weeks, rather every week with good ideas, but mediocre execution. Hopefully this attic will work better and be more sustainable too.

    I feel like if I tried making videos I could make pretty good ones but the only thing is that my parents don’t want me to because of internet safety and stuff. Any tips?

    • @VikingPilot
      @VikingPilot  3 месяца назад

      Try to talk to your parents about how you would be safe on the internet and how you’re passionate about it. Their concerns are valid. But also if you know how to be safe. That’s important too

      Brush yourself up on online safety. Don't 'dox' yourself (reveal personal information) and don't put out information you best want private. Maybe come to an agreement to your parents that before you publish a video you have them proof-watch it first and if they are satisfied they can trust you? Also, I don't know how old you are but there really is no hurry to grow older and eventually have your 'own freedom' when you transition into adulthood. Create that dialogue with your parents. It might even be an option that you concede to account sharing with your parents until you reach a certain age where you can start making videos indepedently.

      I use OBS to record everything! I have an actual microphone (Rode Pod Mic) into a Wave XLR for my microphone audio. that fuzzy sound your hearing is probably background noise from just existing in ur house! i suggest setting up a noise gate in OBS to help you reduce that!
