He was the direct descendant of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiqu (rz). In twenty eighth generation, his genealogical lineage meets with Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (rz) from father's side; and in thirty second generation with Hazrat Imam Hussain (as) from the mother's side. This way he was Siddiqui as well as Hussaini.
He completed the degrees of Maulvi Fazil in Arabic and Munshi Fazil in Persian from Punjab University and received gold medals for securing top rank.
He taught briefly at Darul-Uloom College, Hyderabad which was first affiliated to Punjab University and later expanded into an independent University, named Osmania University. After the establishment of Osmania University, Hazrat Abdul Qadeer Siddiqui (rh) became Professor and was the first Head of the Department of Theology. In this capacity he served Osmania University for over 20 years and later retired in 1932.
Mohammed Abdul Qadeer Siddique (rh) was indeed the living phenomenon of a Perfect Human Being (Insan-e-Kamil) and a person of obligatory proximity (Qurb-e-Frara'ez) with Allah (swt). He had distinction in Prophet’s (PBUH) subordination and was enthroned with the legacy of unveiling (Kashf).
The people who were close to Hazrat Siddiqui (rh) testified that he was at the helm of the spiritual hierarchy during his life time.
On March 24, 1962 (17 Shawwal, 1381 H), Hazrat Siddiqui (rh) passed away at the age of 91 years. His funeral procession was attended by thousands of his murideen(deciples) and well wishers.
He was buried at Siddique Gulshan in Bahadurpura area in Hyderabad. A massive tomb is under construction over his Dargah(shrine) and is expected to be as high as 117 feet. His Urs is celebrated between 16-18 Shawwal each year.
Hazrat Siddiqui (rh) has written more than fifty books in Urdu, Persian and Arabic apart from "Siddiqui's Exegesis(Tafseer-e-Siddiqui) " (Translation and commentary) of Quran in Urdu.
