Tried a tiktok recipe today myself: Ramen noodles, cover with water, cook 3 minutes Add about 2 tbs butter & 1 egg, cook 45 sec. Cover w shredded cheese, cook 30 secs The vid topped with more cheese & garlic salt, I opted out of the cheese & just did some garlic powder, the creamy chicken ramen seasoning packet, & a tiny bit of soy sauce to add some moisture 8/10 quarantine meal
I usually do curry ramen with a poached egg. If you want a pretty egg take the noodles out of the water when they're cooked and poach the egg before you add the flavour packet. Then go as usual. Or you can make it satay by mixing garlic powder, peanut butter, hot sauce, soy sauce, and half the curry packet (it's too salty with the soy and the full flavour packet but it needs the soy) and sesame oil if you have it. Nomnomnom.
Tip: I make a tub of the coffee mix you make and put it in the freezer. It becomes a mousse. I add it to warm milk to make hot lattes or use it to make frappuccinos. Same ingredients but in a big quantity, put it in the blender and then in the freezer.
I put a little salt before cooking them so that everyone can eat it, then add some after to my own portion (which causes a lot of weird looks from my family lol)
Don't salt them before you cook them as “breaks down the eggs, and they start turning [watery].” meaning they over cook too to get rid of that water ness..... this is a tip I got from Gordon Ramsay not my own
I used to make that whipped coffee many years ago and you don’t really need a mixer, just put it in a water bottle, shake it and voila you have a whipped coffee
@@ss-yr7ec Hi! The key is to use equal parts of coffe, sugar and less water than the other two. You don't need two whole tabelspoons of each, imo. Unfortunately, you can't use half the sugar, it's the main ingredient to make it fluffy.
I have been making the weirdest food since the quarantine began 😂 I’m running out of groceries and I’m like ‘hmm... what can I make out of an onion, mayo and a slice of bread..’

I use to do it too years ago. normal amount of coffee and sugar with a little bit of hot water to melt sugar in your drinking mug. mix with teaspoon till creamy(5 minutes or so). add a drop of milk and hot water to make your foam coffee.
Your sweet smile and cheery optimism is everything I needed today. Your makeup tutorials and great food reviews have been getting me through quarantine. Thanks for being you!
So the egg sandwich is one I’ve been doing for a while! I love it and yes, once you flip it over you add some cheese and ham and let it cook a bit longer! SOO GOOD!
For the Dalgona coffee, part of the problem you were experiencing was also the type of coffee you were using. It works better with traditional instant coffee which is freeze dried brewed coffee. The Starbucks Via coffee you were using is micro-ground coffee and not freeze dried.
It’s called “cafe batido” (whipped coffee) in Argentina it exists since forever. My grandma drank it. It’s not something new 🤣 I’m the mug: one spoon coffee , one spoon sugar, a few drops of water, whip it with the spoon. When you gate the paste you add hot water or milk. Done. No mess
I tried both, the instant coffee worked amazing, the hot chocolate one ended up just making chocolate sauce which was still really good just not the same consistency as the whipped coffee at all. I'm now curious if you can do a half coffee half chocolate whipped mocha? The instant coffee seems to be the key ingredient.
I’ve been doing the whipped coffee for a week (it’s quarantine, it happens) and I’ve found that if I do 4Tbs of each of the coffee, sugar, and water in my stand mixer on a high speed it is SO MUCH FASTER because the whisk can get in there to add air easier. Also, the extra freezes really well in a plastic container and I can add it right into my drink the next day without doing anything more to it!
I did the Dalgona Coffee yesterday and it's AMAZING! It takes forever to whip up but it's so worth it. EDIT: Use 2 tbsp water for this. It froths up really well.
I was trying to figure out where she’s from because she sounds like my family from North Dakota especially when she says about and then I saw the bag of milk .... Canada
I came to the comments right after the milk in a bag in a pitcher. This is my first time watching her and I’m from the US. I didn’t want to be rude and say “ma’am why’s your milk in a bag?” And now I know it’s a Canada thing 😂😂. Thank you so much for not letting me look silly haha!
The coffee drink is yummy, I made one the other day with swerve and it worked. So the Dalgona coffee can be made keto. Also used cold water for the recipe I followed and got thicker faster.

my mom was born in 60's in the ussr. and even back then they often did their coffee this way, also sometimes with egg yolks for extra creaminess. yet personally i find it gross because it contains sugar, and coffee and sugar combination is a no-no :)
Rachel! I made the green grapes and lime thingy yesterday and you are right! That was so yummy! I also added some fresh strawberries from the farmer's market! I highly reccomend.
You can also wet the grapes a bit then roll them in a mixture of dry jello mix (whatever flavor you want) and citric acid (amount depends on how sour you want them) then place in the freezer for a little bit. They’re so good!
Also, the coffee /hot chocolate thing reminds me of how I've been doing instant hot chocolate for years, inspired by my sister. Add hot chocolate powder, heavy cream and stir into a paste. You can stop there and just add your hot water next but I like to add some warm milk, stir it up and then top it off with some hot water. You can even add coffee creamer, but that makes it a bit sweeter than I like. So good!!!!
I saw the video for the egg sandwhich, made it for my husband and daughter and they LOVED IT! I seasoned the egg with salt and paper before adding them to the pan, then when i flipped the bread over added cheese and ham and it was soo so good! Definitely try it again♡

Saaaaame. I have been doing almost the same for years now. But with 2 tsp instant coffee, 2 tsp granulated sugar. Bit of boiling water, mix mix mix until it is really light and fluffy, then a bit more hot water and milk. The coffee like this is really creamy and foamy at the top 😄 my mom's friend taught me this like idk 7-8 years ago 😄😄😄
I would love to see you do a whole breakfast hacks episode! Omg!!! Have you tried the pancake mix with seltzer water for the thick and fluffy pancakes?
For the coffee I've been making this everyday. 2 tbsp coffee, 2 tbsp sugar and 2tbsp hot water and I whish it by hand as don't have an electric whisker and it's so good!!!
I made the coffee yesterday and its best with 2 tablespoons of each. This morning I added some cocoa mix and vanilla. You can also make a non-coffee version with just instant cocoa powder.
I literally woke up this morning and said to my husband that I wanted a “fun iced coffee drink” and voila - Rachel delivers this hack! How did you know?! 😁
With the grape thing. It’s like when you remember something from your past being a certain way then in the future you experience it and it’s not what you remember
As kids we would use the whipped coffee to make cappuccinos. In a cup/mug put one tsp instant coffee, 2 tsp sugar and about a tsp boiling water to get a thick paste, mix till it become a beige color then add 3/4 of the cup/mug of boiling water and 1/4 cup/mug milk and mix well.
I love your videos help me survive this crazy quarantine with 2 year old in Australia it favourite part day when toddler in bed and can watch your videos
mrs LovesLife, Emmymadeinjapan made a great research on how the whipped coffee creamer works. It can be done without the sugar because it is the crystallised Coffee that froths.
I have been obsessed with the whipped iced coffee and I have made it soo much I found that the best way is to add 2 tablespoons of coffee and equal parts sugar and water and blend it in a small blender until fluffy then add milk blend for a few seconds then pour over ice :)
for the coffee i do it with the same measurements for everything so 2 tablespoon coffee and room temp water and sugar and it makes a lot of whipped coffee just whip it on high speed and it should take about 3 to 4 min
Lmao. I used to have that kind of coffee with my sister when we were like 10 years old 🤣🤣 we just whipped it with a spoon and did it more for the fun of it than to actually drink it.
I don't have tik tok, so thank you for explaining the coffee thing! I keep seeing people talk about it, but had no idea what they were talking about! I have all of those ingredients, and I LOVE coffee, so I might just try that!

I usually do curry ramen with a poached egg. If you want a pretty egg take the noodles out of the water when they're cooked and poach the egg before you add the flavour packet. Then go as usual. I put a little salt before cooking them so that everyone can eat it, then add some after to my own portion (which causes a lot of weird looks from my family lol)
If I'm making eggs then it goes with onion, chilli salt and pepper.

The coffee like this is really creamy and foamy at the top 😄 my mom's friend taught me this like idk 7-8 years ago 😄😄😄
by coffee do you mean instant or premade liquid coffe?
It's a 1:1:1 ratio. So 2 teaspoons of coffee to 2 teaspoons of sugar to 2 teaspoons of water.
@@syvixn4386 instant coffee.
I do the same... Though the ratios change according to what I feel like😂😂
The way you separate yolks slays me! 🤣 I haven't seen anyone use that technique in decades. If it works for you (and clearly it does) you do you! 💜
I do this all the time. Add boiling hot water to this in a smaller amount and it turns into a cappuccino.
Love your videos and positive vibes during this time! It’s a nice refresher! Keeep em coming :)
I made the coffee topping the other day, whipped it by hand... Couldn't feel my arm for hours 😂 love your videos ☺️💕
You got me obsessed with Gourmet Makes and Claire and now I want to see you recreate all her recipes 😂
Rachel: Man, I've been inside too long.
*10 months later*
Me: We all have, we all have. WHEN IS IT GOING TO STOOOOOOOOP?!?!?!?!
I would love to see you do a whole breakfast hacks episode! Omg!!! Have you tried the pancake mix with seltzer water for the thick and fluffy pancakes?
I feel like the iced hot chocolate was basically just a glass of chocolate milk lol. Looks yummy though!
I’ve made the fluffy coffee almost every day I love it so much 😂 and I don’t usually drink coffee!! But it’s so good!!
The best measurements for dalgona coffee is equal amounts of everything.
The raspberry cream muffins were AMAZING. Exceeded my expectations. Shared with friends immediately.
That coffee one tho! Now I'm checking my ingredients to see if i can make it 😄
For the coffee I've been making this everyday. 2 tbsp coffee, 2 tbsp sugar and 2tbsp hot water and I whish it by hand as don't have an electric whisker and it's so good!!!
I always hear “short girl probs” but BEING A TALL GIRL when you said “tall girl problems” I was like🤩😂 lol sending love from Houston🤘🏼♥️🖤
SAME! 😂
Houston ❤️❤️😘
I made the coffee yesterday and its best with 2 tablespoons of each. This morning I added some cocoa mix and vanilla. You can also make a non-coffee version with just instant cocoa powder.
I literally woke up this morning and said to my husband that I wanted a “fun iced coffee drink” and voila - Rachel delivers this hack! How did you know?! 😁
With the grape thing. It’s like when you remember something from your past being a certain way then in the future you experience it and it’s not what you remember
tiktok has been my life for the past 2 weeks on quarantine🥴
I will definitely be doing the whipped coffee often. I’ve done this myself and loveee
"quarentine can't bring us down!" (iconic)
You two are so adorable together! Also, those pancakes sound delicious!
Did anyone else watch David Seymour's tik tok testing video earlier today?
Yep
Omg, so true pumpkin spice creamer mixes with the milk (not a lot bc it’s sweet or do less sugar in the coffee part) it’s really good
Am I the only one who heard “cook the little bell notification?!” Lol!!!
Me seeing bagged milk even though I know it exists. 😯
Oh I know! I’ve seen that in quite a few videos, but I have never seen bagged milk in person before.
Loo everytime I see it I'm so.confused
Like y is her milk in a bag
I thought it was just me!
Danielle Ford it’s an Eastern Canadian thing
I love your videos help me survive this crazy quarantine with 2 year old in Australia it favourite part day when toddler in bed and can watch your videos
mrs LovesLife,
Emmymadeinjapan made a great research on how the whipped coffee creamer works.
I feel like the egg sandwich needs cheese and a slice of ham or a couple slices of bacon
for the coffee i do it with the same measurements for everything so 2 tablespoon coffee and room temp water and sugar and it makes a lot of whipped coffee just whip it on high speed and it should take about 3 to 4 min
Lmao. I used to have that kind of coffee with my sister when we were like 10 years old 🤣🤣 we just whipped it with a spoon and did it more for the fun of it than to actually drink it.
Haha I love it when Chris appears outta nowhere. Love you both😚
Eggs without salt don't taste like anything lol
I don't have tik tok, so thank you for explaining the coffee thing! I keep seeing people talk about it, but had no idea what they were talking about! I have all of those ingredients, and I LOVE coffee, so I might just try that!
