The reason music you hear is unoriginal is because records don't look for originality, they look for profits. Now, they can find something original that they think will be profitable, but they're so out of touch that there's little chance of that happening.

I was too young to appreciate how ill the beat is. Busta soloed debut on the scene the best way possible with this creative, high energy-driven cut. Can't get enough of this, the ODB version or his follow-up Missy Elliott-composed single "It's a Party" (Remix) ft. SWV. He's a legend and should be respected as such. The man is extremely underrated by today's standards. He's been robbed of so many awards during his prime.
This song is a classic busta always had a humorous feel to his song but could also spit cool rhymes creatively with ease.
I remember when I first saw this on MTV, it's as fresh today as it was back then💞

I'm kinda glad the internet exists, because unlike record labels, you don't need to jump through hoops to get your real, original music out there, which allows people to make and release whatever they want.
The reason music you hear is unoriginal is because records don't look for originality, they look for profits. Now, they can find something original that they think will be profitable, but they're so out of touch that there's little chance of that happening.

I remember seeing this for the first time on a little known public station (not PBS). I am not much on rap, but this simply blew me away.
People overlook how brilliant this song is. That whole second verse he maintained the "Oohs" at the end of each bar throughout the duration til the hook. Creatively, that sh*t is hard to do.
