      ​@@aarongleim4336 being born in the 60s we had the tail end of the 50s and 60s music, The Who, Zeppelin, Hendrix etc and then got to enjoy the classic rock artists of the 60s and 70s, the birth of funk, jazz fusion, disco, jazz funk, disco funk, ska, reggae, dub, synthpop, house, techno, then we got to enjoy the birth of hiphop from the 70s all the way through the golden ages. It was fascinating and the best music education ever.

    The most animated, versatile, energetic, and an embodiment of a thoroughbred hip-hop emcee, who, at any given point, would embarrass your fav top 10 on a live performance.     I was a 13 year old white boy living in Australia, obsessed with this song when it first came out. Couldn't get anyone else around me to get into it. Didn't care - recorded it on my own mixtape and went to sleep every night listening to it for 2 years straight.
    Nobody has ever nailed this mix of trance/hip-hop since. Busta Rhymes is still one of a kind.

    What's funny is this is still next level. There is nothing like this still in sound, visual, and performance. Andre 3000 stuff could be the closest in a few different videos in terms of seeming beyond Earth in presentation but not in raw endless energy or flow.

    Not only is his rhyme ability still on next level but his energy and charisma just added to it. Cool dude will chop it up with you from what I heard.     I was too young to appreciate how ill the beat is. Busta soloed debut on the scene the best way possible with this creative, high energy-driven cut. Can't get enough of this, the ODB version or his follow-up Missy Elliott-composed single "It's a Party" (Remix) ft. SWV. He's a legend and should be respected as such. The man is extremely underrated by today's standards. He's been robbed of so many awards during his prime.

      I'm kinda glad the internet exists, because unlike record labels, you don't need to jump through hoops to get your real, original music out there, which allows people to make and release whatever they want.
      The reason music you hear is unoriginal is because records don't look for originality, they look for profits. Now, they can find something original that they think will be profitable, but they're so out of touch that there's little chance of that happening.
