We saw this also at the Miami show and really enjoyed the layout. The washer was on the port side going down to the master. I’ve heard mixed reviews in the main door that folds down, but overall we have it as our top cat from the show in the mid 50’s range.
Nice, fast tour Bobby. Agree with your take. A major drawback for me is the flybridge helm. Having to raise and lower clear plastic panels for protection from bad weather over and over again is a big hassle, and trying to see through plastic panels in driving rain with no windshield wipers is dismal.
Excellent review and honest assessment of the boat and your experience with the brand. Bobby I give your review an A. An extra minute or two finding the washing machine & view of engine access would be great for next time.
I liked some things about the Bali, didn't like others. I walked through that same Bali 54 and it seemed like some things were lacking a bit of durability/heft. I really liked how that whole rear wall tilted up. I liked the kitchen layout and the refrigeration on the boat both in the kitchen and at the flybridge. I didn't like the cabin layout, but I'm sure that can be worked out. I'm not huge on trampolines so not having them was nice because it just added to the square footage.
I probably walked by you two at the Miami Boat show, it was right near my apartment, I walked by there a few times.. didn't go in though. By the way, I have been thinking about getting a boat, but so many people I have known have gotten rid of them. Not because they couldn't afford them, but either they didn't use them enough or got tired of the lifestyle. I think it would get old after awhile..
Charter that, and guests would tear the interior to pieces. JMO. Aside: Somebody needs to invent a head with a snap in-snap out macerator, esp for charter boats :)
Leopard 58 sails much much better with loads more space and better laid out for such an old design. Voyage catamarans are also superior sailers offering more space
Bobby, I cant decide between Lagoon 46 and the Bali 4.6. What do you think. The bali seems to offer so much more but the Lagoon has a better sail lain. PS: I am upgrading from the Lagoon 42
I've always thought the trampolines were to allow the water that came over the front of the hulls to fall through rather than mounting on the deck and digging the front of the hulls in - becoming a nasty runaway situaiton if the weight of the water can't be shed.
Sometimes searches don't work for one person but will work for the next I searched Latitudes & Attitudes interviews sailing doodles and found video titled Meeting the Editor of Latitudes and Attitudes Magazine David Levesque I will put the link in a separate comment since they tend to get deleted.
Looked to me to be like a crew cabin in the port forepeak. Crew cabins are typically accessed through the hatch only, was nice this had an alternate door and its own head. That really makes this a 6 cabin boat if you count the crew cabin a cabin. The Bali 4.8 we sailed in the recent Bahamas Flotilla offered a lot of crew comfort and space. We spent a large amount of time under sail on the flybridge, there was a large table and seating, the views were off the charts. I like the split table as well, the large table on the 4.8 made it tough to get in and out of the seating. If a pile of cash were dumped in my lap, knowing my mission of basically cruising around the islands, alternating between the Abacos and BVI, I would pick the Bali 4.8 today. One caveat, Bobby said the rudder authority on the 4.8 left a little to be desired, so docking in a heavy wind might be more of a challenge than normal. Just my two cents worth.
Would be nice if you had taken the time to go through it before filming it and then using just a little more time to go through it on film - it would make it so much more enjoyable to watch. I would give you a C- for that tour .
Bob I’m a bit confused. Is Amanda still part of your life or not. One time she’s with you the next she is not. Or am I just getting your shows mixed up. I really thought she was back but I did not she her this show.
Does anyone know the cost of their boat and the yearly maintenance costs? I thought about this lifestyle, but as a low single-digit multi-millionaire, I may still be too poor to afford to live this lifestyle.
Bobby did u have some dental work done? Maybe it's just my phone but it seems ur mouths a tad crooked and u slurred some words...don't take offense, just concerned.
Marvelous introduction to the Bali 54. Floating Party Boat.
I love that layout.. spacious and comfortable.
The party barge of catamarans. Very nice boat good layout and lots of space. I could live on that.
Yeah, but as Bobby said, it does come at the cost of performance…not sure I’d want to cross an ocean with it🤷🏻
Perfect condo on the water ! Would not mind a house with that layout.
Great video, loved the inclusive, but not long themed tour! Love the Bali’s! Thanks Bobby!
You do these walk throughs as good as anybody else, better in most cases. Do more if you can.
I like this tours, and I think that was a very fair rating🎉
All the catamarans are beautiful these days I can only dream to ever have one they are beautiful
Beautiful boat...thanks Bobby!!!!
Awesome boat Bobby. Thanks for the tour.

Yep, awesome Charter boat if you're cruising the Caribbean island hopping. Great layout!!!
KEEP THESE UP!!! love this content and the way you describe them. this can be another SD channel :)
Really like this Hotrod. Nice boat.
It looks perfect to me. If I had the money I would buy it to live on. I would add a washer/dryer.
Excellent review and honest assessment of the boat and your experience with the brand. Bobby I give your review an A. An extra minute or two finding the washing machine & view of engine access would be great for next time.
Bali be ballin'
Great boat Bobby. Perfect for Charters .
Very nice cat,Thanks for the tour
You could put solar on the entire roof of the fly bridge.
Looks very cheap, Sunreef for the win. Great tour Bobby ⚓️🌴😎

No other way to say it, folks. Cat's are the shit!
That Y bracket on back deck is for personal water crafts
Very beautiful 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Groovy episode/
Would be awesome in the Bahamas...
Solar and washer dryer for sure

Passivate stainless steel to keep it from bleeding rust. Use passivated stainless steel fasteners to keep them from bleeding rust.
Good morning, Bobby.! I think you're going to like this BALI-5.4 ⛵ a lot more than the 48 one...⛵⛵⛵🤔✅
Bobby which one is your favorite boat
Leopard 58 sails much much better with loads more space and better laid out for such an old design. Voyage catamarans are also superior sailers offering more space

It’s both
Not a passage-making ship, otherwise pretty sweet. This and the Lagoon ~52 I like.
how much longer till the new boat.. taking so long
What's the best catamaran?
👍😁
Did you do an interview with Latitudes & Attitudes recently? I want to look at it again and can’t find it. Thanks, Tom.

Thanks. It’s on my podcast channel
Bobby your breathing heavy, listen to you body!
Which one are you waiting for?
Bobby: "It's ONLY 54 feet long." Haha! Uh, yeah, how long do you need it to be? 🤷✌️😎
A cabin to be accessed through the head of another cabin?

@@kas10163y thanks for the reply 🙏
✅👍
HOW MUCH FOR THE 54 FT.
Speaking of, besides when you're sailing... How many "GREEN HOUSE" emissions does it put out? Why aren't the boats all electric now?
They have gimbal stoves for boats. Do they make gimbal beds?
They actually don’t put gimbals on cats.
Just wondering if such a thing would help for better sleep? Maybe try a hammock @@Sailingdoodles
Great tour however bad form bagging the product while your still on the boat 😮

No reviews we enjoys the traveling content more we need another pacific ocean crossing
you and amanda would be comfortable on that one

👍🏼👍🏻🤍❤
I'm no fan of the technical aspects of the Bali series. The way things are "packed in" makes maintenance a pain.
You can't even get a tinny secured😅
Homeboy u gotta do some cardio and breathwork
Bobby did u have some dental work done? Maybe it's just my phone but it seems ur mouths a tad crooked and u slurred some words...don't take offense, just concerned.
1.9 million! Pfff! that's nothing.
Interesting question though! How many of you are "Socialists" and think that you should SHARE your wealth? Asking for a friend!
Junk
Solar 60 all electric no sail BS and far more reliable from Thailand best of the best low to no maintenance AMEN
all electric no sail bs? lol. you seem to believe corporate marketing.
