Been 'bequeathed' a laptop that can not handle x4. It can however handle x3 and this tutorial is the best I've seen as I re-learn how to do this. It's been awhile but I must keep up my chops as I'm certain X4 will be very similar (x rebirth fell behind and was lost to other games to play). THANK YOU FOR THESE tutorials - you are the BEST keep it up.
Thanks a lot for these tutorial videos. I've had X3TC for a year now, but never jumped in because it was too overwhelming. Now I'm gonna give it a shot
Dave i just want to really thank you so much for your videos they help so much. Im hoping you will keep doing videos for people like me who are so new to this series. I like the fact that your very detailed in explaining... and listening to you is very easy as you are so soft spoken and a great teacher. Just bought the War Pack on steam so im following your videos to a T
I just self-destructed the Discoverer when I first started and didn't know how to sell ships. Still flying around with the other one, 3000 cargo is quite useful.
I would recommend it. Just start playing AP (comes with the warpack). This game is so large, you can play it any way you want. You can do all of the dogfighting yourself, have other ships do it for you or just assist you, build a trade empire that creates income for you in the background or do the trading yourself. It's a real sandbox.
tip for newbs on this part, The repair laser will auto-recharge to 100% if you re-enter your ship, if you do it extremely snappy, you can get a good 50-90% energy for that thing far faster than letter it recharge.
I only recently started playing this game. I started with Reunion but I could not figure it out. I played Terran Conflict though, and the menu's helped me just enough to get going. Now that I remember a bunch of hotkeys it's super easy. HIGHLY recommend this game. You know what, though... download a cockpit mod, it's nice to see consoles, there's a really nice one out there, whatever it's called. It's an immersion thing. It is a space simulator, after all!
You don't have to worry about crew. The only time that might be considered would be for marines/boarding, and (sort-of) CAG/CLS ships. These are covered in later vids.
@Kurzidan Rather than that I just have the damaged ship eject a SETA device. Pick it up in my suit and hold Ctrl-J for a few seconds. Most M3 and smaller ships repair real quick under SETA repair laser. The only concern is with larger ships since you only have 2 hours of air in your suit, so don't SETA for more than 12 minutes.
@Mrpain: it has to be a shipyard and there certainly should be on in AP. Have you completely explored the sector? It's possible there was a war and it got destroyed in which case it will be rebuilt in time. Download a good map of the X3TC universe and it will show you every SY in the game.
I got the X Super box on steam a while back (all X games) for like 10 bucks. I would suggest if you ever see it for that price again to grab it like a crazy person. And when your done grabbing and shaking it, you should buy it.
I've been all over the Argon Prime sector map with the Discoverer and I cannot find the shipyard at all. Is there a bug about this or maybe a patch fix?
Awesome work man THANKS.:D BTW I cant find the discoverer ship near me and when I click on r it says that its in the herron's nebula sector. how do I get it to follow me where ever I go.
Can I buy/sell ships at any station or does it have to be a shipyard? Ive tried other stations....and in my game I dont seem to have a shipyard at Argon Prime
Should I get this game with the terran war pack..? Is it an extension that adds to the original game or a DLC you have to play separated from the original game? Because I'm looking for a tactical space game where you have to control economy, resources and fight your way to the top! Not just building ships and sending it to the fight to conquer the world
there is no shipyard for me in argon prime, at my latest save. any idea of where 2 find one in argon space? Thanks for an azume guide Always use it when I get back to the game, 2 refresh my memory when not playing for a while.

I'm just saying dude, you are like the BEE'S KNEES for making this series. I LOVE x3, but I'm so not smart enough to figure out how to play it
Amazing. I've been playing the X series for year now and I never noticed the repair laser on the astronaut suit. Thanks.
Thanks for the walkthroughs, they really helped, this game has no tutorials.
Omg dude amazing video's, 4 years and i didnt know the home and the end key on the trade bar.
So glad I was able to help! :) It's a big game. Can't wait for X3Rb

You can get it done at a shipyard for lots of money (the more damage, the more the cost), or you can do it free yourself in your spacesuit.

thanks for the guide the game can be very hard to learn but its so much fun.

You bro are very good youtuber. Your talent of explaining things is obvious. A question? Why you stopped bro?
I'm too cheap for an Eve subscription but this looks just as awesome. Might have to buy it.

Okk thanks reall great videos help a lot t play thanks..
So do additional ships you have automaticly fly or do they need crew?
You are docked in a shipyard with which you have high enough status to buy/sell with correct?
When you change view modes, can you still control the ship the same way as if it was in 1st person?
it is on sales on steam right now if you haven't got it yet
@mentolka09 hit the "NUM LOCK" key at the top-left of the number pad on your keyboard.
Awesome work man THANKS.:D

You made me spit my Mongolian food all over my monitor. lmfao

Not just building ships and sending it to the fight to conquer the world
Click on your properties screen, select the ship, open the command panel > navigation, choose "follow me."
Go to options, gameplay options and select SETA. Change it to 1000%.
Why would you skip the part of mapping out the sectors?
probably because it'll take 30 mins of just flying around and this tutorial would be too long (and boring).
@MrTenTimes: I didn't know that, thanks!
That's exactly what I was going for! Yum.
hey? how do i rotate the ship when my portable computer lacks a numpad?
I can have both ships docked here and be in either, but for some reason I do not get the option to sell either ships. Any suggestions?
Were you able to find the shipyard? I sure wasn't, so I can't sell any ships.
any idea how i can get ship out of owned ships window, got one ship in game and i dnt know how to get it out of there

apricotmappingservice.com/X3TCdownloads5/X3TC-ya-map-v1.1.jpg Is the one I"ve used.
Thank you, very nice of you to answer :)

My sata only goes to 600% how did you get a better sata?
Hey is there any place to go and fix ships?..
Yes.
After my ship that i am going to sell has docked at the station, it wont let me dock.
You only can sell your ship at a shipyard.
Every time I try to get within 30m of my other ship it moves away from me. WTF?
I can't see ships or stations y only see the jumpgates help!
I told one of ships to follow me and he repeatedly rammed me until my ship exploded and game over.
i cannot find a place to sell my ship :(
The Linux Version is so much different. The UI is very "unpolished".
The UI is and was identical (when I played last year). I don't see what you're on about.
Or you have to do it ur self?..
