I liked the album Varieté the best, but I wish I could still get the Deluxe edition with A Lonely Love on the included bonus disc - some of Marc Almond’s best work.

The asthma/bronchitis is probably exacerbated by living in London - the pollution levels are extreme, I would imagine; I don’t live in a big city, I live in a smaller town but it is gridlocked with traffic and the pollution is terrible. That’s probably what caused his asthma and bronchitis, the air in big cities is hardly clean.

No, unfortunately he was caught in quite a horrific car crash which saw him induced in a coma for a quite a while and he had to undergo quite extensive facial reconstructive surgery, so he's not enough entirely 'pristine', but it's a bit much to say something that derisive

I listened to the album yesterday - absolutely wonderful, and all new songs to me except for “Reflections” which is done immaculately.
Great to see Marc almond again on t.v. Show , talking about his new album and memories of them soft cell days
