Great video👍 thanks for sharing the ways of the dragon🤣. Clearly these guys at the top of the leaderboards have been using this as it’s next to impossible to get past those tougher later arcs on other builds.
When I swapped staffs I accidently swapped a Torugs for a HC staff, you are of course meant to front bar Torugs ( sorry for the confusion). This should also mean that we're closer to armor cap on the front bar than shown in the video. Nord characters should be able to give up fortified for another red cp.
Does this build still work so i need hardened staff for adds n weaking swords bk bar n for boss weakening ice but what 4 bk bar swords weapon dmg or what ?

is this also true in imperial city? how did you determine that the monsters are normal level?
Great build, great video, it really helped me understand a lot more about the archive and why the build works. I do think calling this build the "only viable build" for solo archive runs is a bit disingenuous though, as viability is very subjective in the Archive. You can easily get on the weekly leaderboards for any class by getting to Arc 4-5, and there are plenty of builds that can achieve that if you just want the gold leaderboard reward gear each week. This may be the only build that can get you to Arc 8 or so and onward solo (which is still extremely impressive), but I don't think that's a prerequisite for viability.
I called it the only viable build for score pushing tho, I have two other builds on my channel specifically designed to clear early Arcs.
You can get to arc 8+ on a one bar build. This isn't even remotely the only viable option.

@healsthefeels-eso1053 Dooma from TheGameroom has made it to arc 8 on a 1 bar. He's my "receipt," as i am using his build. He's already got an EA warden out that I got to 7 4 2 on. I am working on collecting pieces for the updated version he's coming out with this coming week.
He's set up a one build fits all classes while only needing to swap skills. He's gotten to arc 8 on Warden, Dragon Knight, Arcanist, and I think Templar (haven't caught all the streams) and with some luck, the build should be able to push arc 10. Check the PC leader boards. Most of his toons have DOOMA in the name.
Now I can't say 100% it will ever get as high as your setup (which has an inevitable nerf incoming), but it definitely can compete to arc 8+.
@@Titansdragon75 Fair enough, but this dosen't change the fact that this setup, or some variation of it is pretty much nessesary for score pushing. you're not even top 50 on PC EU with Arc 8, would'nt consider it "far" at this point.
do you run this from arc 1? or do you run a faster build until it gets tougher, then switch to this build? i find if I start with this from the beginning its a bit slow.
and do you run tri focus? on the destro?
You usually start running this at later Arcs like Arc 4+. It depends on your amount of focused effort etc. If you get them early you can start a little earlier.
@@healsthefeels-eso and im assuming you have points in tri focus, so we use mag to block on ice staff, to conserve stam for the greaves blocking direct damage?
I'm farming IA for the basalt style pages with my DK, what is the optimal setup for the magma shell build you talked about?
Hyperioxies knows more about this than me, but it always takes vampire drain in combination with the potentates set, the other sets including mythic varies.
Hi, in the screenshot is not defined, I can see one of the backbar daggers has the weapon damage enchat, but what is the enchantment for the offhand dagger?
It's hakeijo, but weakening is better

@@maadsharp You would usually carry hardening on the bar where you don't have weakening. I have an update video on the channel where I explain this principle.
Is it still viable? I don't have access to one bar builds and really wanted to try higher arcs, but I do struggle in survivability on current character in arc 3 already..
This is mostly for very high Arcs I would take a look at either the Sorcerer build (with Oakensoul) or the Arcanist build that I posted instead for Arc 3.

In the Superstar shot, you have 3Torug's jewelry and 5 HC on the body, plus an HC front bar staff. Are the waist and hand slots meant to be Torug's (that would be my assumption)? Or is the front bar staff meant to be Torug's?
Front bar is meant to be torugs yes
I had a lot of staffs and probably equipped the wrong one. But 5 HC body and Torugs front bar + jewelry.

Thx for the information! So I assume reaching pencap isnt important due to the extrem dmg coming from status effects?
You still have acces to minor and major breach with this build which is enough to take adds close to 0. But we're not concerned with consistently hitting pen cap.
Got 5 focused Effort visions last run i did, hehe!

What bar setup on a Nb?
I was the first to get to arc 10 with warden, in eu at least, and the only thing I knew at release was that focused efforts was really strong, zaudrus, heartland, pale order, ice front/back AS/MA charged/infused (thief that run, definitely better lover anyway). Wouldn't say there's only 1 viable option at least up to 10. Ran too few times so there was room for improvement, got clapped by marauders mostly 7/9/10 that run, 1 mistake and I was dead after 8 to a light attack, so this is really interesting might just try weakening type effects out until marauder shows up and go back to a better damage build afterwards, cause trash up to that point is ok, and with new attuned too oof. Seems pretty busted tho, very informative
I agree there are other combinations, but I would say a build using HC is just a variation of this build, moreso, than an entire new build. You could swap Torugs here as well after a few enchant visions as it's additive, and therefor dosent add much at that point. for something like PW. But that would'nt be an entire new build. I have'nt seen or heard of solo runners getting to 10+ without at least HC.
what is AS/MA?
Are you running 3 heavy, 2 medium and 2 light? I could not tell from the image you posted.

What do you run for the earlier arcs before you collect the visions to make this worth running?
I ran Ansuul + Ravanger or pillar of nirn, but it did'nt care much to optimize, Coral is probably better. And so is Azure eventually.
Tri focus or no tri focus?
Tri focus because legs need the stam
So the idea is weakening glyphs for bosses and hardening glyphs for trash waves? What about thoat encounters where you technically have multiple bosses fucking you up at the same time though?
For tho'at i am still testing, i had the most succes so far with weakening front, and then hardening on my back bar dagger, but can see the reason why you might swap. I like weakening front so you can easier control it.
Do you have a DK solo magma shell build? I can’t find one that isn’t a tank set up
They're all tank setups, I would look at what hyperrioxies uses. You need at least Drake's Rush and Potentates, The last sets are somewhat up to you. Ring of the pale order is a great choice.
Are you actively spamming ele sus or casting it on each mob then blocking/keeping up skills on cooldown?
You hit every mob and then spam it on elite adds.
@@healsthefeels-eso ok thanks thats what i was thinking. also what would you suggest for running set wise for the early stages? ive tried a few different setups but cant really land on something that feels really good
@@xC0P1UMx I run Ansuul and Ravanger, it's not great but it was what I had around and it makes Arc 4 pretty fast, I swap to this build in Arc 5

Why won't the weakening apply to every enemy inside the Wall of Elements?
And how do you make sure that the weakening applies specifically to an elite or the bosses, if you only can apply weakening to one target?
You apply it with a light attack
@@healsthefeels-eso Is it guaranteed to proc on every light attack? So as soon as a boss spawns you just light attack it and that massive weakening debuff will apply to it? For how long?
5 seconds and the cooldown is 2.2

Yes, but the leads are not as bad as they seem at first, the coral you can solo the first secret boss a few times, took me doing it 3 times. Z'Baza is the worst but has an at least 50% drop rate, so at most two times you have to kill her. I did all 5 in a few hours.

So, do you have a link to his streams so we could see the other guy playing it that you mentioned? I've never heard of him. When you're doing the early arcs, do you change your skills up very much? Do you still run esoteric or do you use pale order? How many of the visions where you get the extra elemental damage do you need for the build to function since your damage is relying on it? I guess I was worried that I wouldnt get any and then I would have no damage lol. Thanks in advance man!
Hello! What food and potions do you use?
Orzoga's smoked bear, or jewels of misrule as the budget option. Tri potion or minor heroism + magicka + stamina, but mostly tri pots.
