It's interesting that in the US everything is measured in inches, but the dilation is measured in centimeters. I love to learn these little things in different countries. I hope that all goes well! Good luck mom Lacey and dad Eli! 💞
Centimeters are just a smaller incriminate of measurement. When you go smaller than an inch or overall smaller measurements it automatically switches to cms as it’s more accurate.
I was 38 weeks to the day when I went into labor ! I started at 1pm and went in at 5pm and I was 3cm dilated and I had her at 8:46 am the next day ! So happy for you Eli and Lacey 🥰🥰 I hope she comes this week 😭😍❤️ * as a mom I am going to be bawling through your labor and delivery video ❤️❤️

Hey Lacey, do you have one of those baby mirrors that attach to the headrest of the backseat? If you dont, I HIGHLY recommend them. They make your life soooooo much easier when you're sitting up front or driving because they allow you to see babies face so when they start to fuss you can see if they're ok. I didnt have one for the first couple months with my first-born and once I got one it was life changing!
Baby girl will get here when she is good and ready. I was 3cm for 3 weeks with my daughter. My son nothing until my water broke. Crazy how it all works. Hope you are ready for the best ride of your life. Best of luck.

Lacy, You've got this. 36W6D is not way early. In the community that I had both my kids the hospital that I had my 1st at I was told if I went into labor before 36W I would have to deliver at the other hospital due to them having a higher level nicu but once I reached 36W I would not. I ended up having my 1st at the must be at least 36W hospital and my 2nd at the other hospital all due to not being one bit happy with how I was treated at the hospital where I had my first. Also just a little FYI women can go around for weeks at the same dilation and effacement and then have a baby sometimes even after 41W. I would make sure that you have things packed and ready to go including making a 2nd bag to keep in the car so if you go into labor while you are out and about you can head especially if it is going to be a bit of a drive. You can always have someone go to your apartment and get the bag containing the coming home outfit and stuff and have Eli meet that person in the hospital parking lot if necessary if you have to use the car backup labor and delivery bag and there is a restriction on visitors in hospital. Even with mine being teenagers with my 1st if I had delivered a week later visitors would have been restricted to my partner and the grandparents only due to a heavy flu out break in the area. Most of the hospital had a 16 and older restriction with the ICU at both hospitals in my area being restricted to 18 and immediate family that being parent, legal spouse, or adult child.
Lacey I can see your car seat in the back make sure to read the manual about what position to put the carrier handle in while in the car some car seats you leave it up some you have to put back for safety just reminding you

Oh Lacey, if you haven’t had a baby by the time I’ve commented then it’s gonna be very very soon. I got checked on a Wednesday, due the following Tuesday. The midwife said “you’re 2cm, I’ll see you by the weekend”. I said nahhhh I think it’ll still be Tuesday. I went into labour on the Friday night and gave birth on the Saturday morning. Exciting !! I got check at 36 weeks I was only 1CM 50%. My OB told me, you’ll have baby at 38 weeks while she was on vacation … I should’ve listened … 38 weeks & 3 days my water broke around 3:30AM. my cervix was still 1CM when I got to the hospital, I got induced 😅
It’s getting close! My son was born at 37 weeks exactly by c-section due to my BP on June 10th. I never dilated. With my daughter I only got to a 4 or 6. Then had to have a c-section because my water broke and we were not progressing.
Lacy I had my daughter at 37 weeks and 6 days so it can happen that's why it's good to be prepared because we had not been prepared. We did not have hospital bag ready my water broke at Drs office luckily I was walking distance from the hospital
37 weeks onwards is considered term so not a super early baby. Excellent that you a progressing and those Braxton hicks are helping 🙂 I have known people to be 3cms for a week ish. Me on the other hand went from 3 cms to baby born 15 minutes later. Our bodies are amazing
