Evan, Mateus, Hooper, and Max will be a crazy good race for the win on frame. Martins will probably be up there too
100%. If Hooper's grip is good then he is up there with Mateus for 1st or 2nd.
Hooper was failing an 800 lb carry in his last video. Not saying he can’t get to 880 lb, but everyone thinks they can finish the whole thing in one go, but few cans Mateusz will probably win, Max 2nd, Evan 3rd, Martins 4th, Hooper 5th.
I’d love to see Evan, Mateusz, Martins, Novikov, and Thor put Hooper in his place.
If healthy mateusz wins easily
Mateus and max are fast and have the grip to do it in 1 go, Mitch is quick but grip might not be there, martins the grip is there but the speed not so much
If Mitch’s grip holds he’ll be second, if not max will be second
I don’t see Evan top 3
Big Z used to tighten his T-shirt with his belt so that it doesn't slip, it seemed to work. Frame is gonna be smooth as butter at the Arnold's !
On any contest day I feel like Evan got as good a shot as any of them to win! Good luck on the Arnold debut. Make that statement.

Considering I’m half his weight, not taking peds and not a full time strength athlete (with no aspirations to become one) I’m perfectly fine not being comparable in any strength metric

The 405lb press the bar was 100% off centre. You were shifted to the right and thats probably why lockout eas harder for your left
The 405 axle press, looked like you had it gripped over to one side off the ground. Probably why it was harder to press on your left.
exactly what I was thinking, he probably hasn't gotten to see the playback footage yet when he was being recorded so hopefully he sees it so he knows it wasn't his shoulder just grip positioning.

Probably need to find a loading ramp somewhere to practice that frame carry. I mean this being your first shot at this comp, literally EVERYONE there had more experience with it than you.Just advice from an old guy....lol. I wish you the best of luck at this meet , big fan.

lol I remember they did at Europe's when Richardson won, Hicks said it fucking killed his wrists - and they were fairly lightweight stones too. Of course, some head boops too.

I can't see Tom Stoltman not being on the podium, he is training for this one.
@@markevans4088 Tom Stoltman and Novikov are also strong competitors, but Tom is doing poorly on Arnold and Novikov has been out of shape lately, so I didn't mention them, which doesn't mean that they won't count in the fight for the podium.
Tom wasn't prepared for the Arnolds last time, he'd had several months off. He is preparing this time and with Mitch they are the two best in the world at the moment. Mateausz, Thor and Martins are all coming back from a long time out, though Mateausz did very well in specific events at Rogue.@@ilo0076 It'll be very exciting to see how they all do.

look at the video. the press was off because your grip isn't even by several inches. take the time to grip properly.

So many of my favorites in this comp! Evan has a great chance of winning if he stays healthy. My top picks in no particular order are, Evan, Tom, Mitch, Martins and Thor. I know Evan said he's only worried about Mateus in the fram carry...but I think Mitch is gonna have something to say about that...and I would love to see Martins in the mix. What a battle its gonna be.
Maxime will be up there in the Frame as he was a second or so off Mateusz record IIRC. Martins knees and Hips won’t allow him to move fastest enough to compete for top spot in the frame these days. Hoopers grip didn’t hold out last year. Might be an issue this year.
@@anthonyproffitt5341 I always forget about Maxime. He’s never been able to be an all around guy but he somehow beats everybody at some events. Super impressive for his size. I think Mitch is gonna surprise you this year. I’m really looking forward to seeing a lighter and faster Thor. I see him in about 5th-6th.
