Referring to your comment that you looked like a short stump in the 501 jeans, are you actually short? I was told by multiple stylist that short people do not look flattering in skinny jeans. But rather a straight leg or a flair leg to elongate their legs. Wich made so much sense to me and a huge difference in how one looks. Have a lovely day.

What happened to pants and jeans that fit? Why are pants now too wide, too short or way too long? I’m having flashbacks to all the ill-fitting pants I’ve worn. Who knew my poor choices would be the height of fashion some day?

I am french but sincerely, I will never understand what people like so much about parisian fashion. Everyone dresses the same way: flared jeans, white T-shirt, striped sweater...). It's so boring! And we don't forget the obligatory Parisian touch of snobbery: we dress very simple (even ugly with clothes that are too big and unflattering). As long as you wear a Hermès, Dior or Chanel bag, then everything is fine, you are saved. This is the principle of Parisian chic. Such an hypocrisy! 😝
average French woman wardrobe is limited by her budget. they basically wear similar stuff. no creativity required. when are we going to stop hearing about the mythical French woman? modern French woman is just like any other woman.
