Sonos has been the top dog in the soundbar game for years. But there's some new kid on the block looking to stir things up - the Nakamichi Dragon. Word on the street is this Dragon isn’t messing around. It's supposed to have sound quality that punches way above its price tag.
But can it really take down the Sonos beast? That's what we're here to find out! In this smackdown between soundbar heavyweights, we're putting Sonos head to head against the upstart Nakamichi to decide which premium soundbar is a better pick.

Why didn't you include the prices of all the arc things like 2 subs and the era 300s to show the price of a full arc system being over $3000? Why would anyone compare the complet nakamichi set up to just the arc sound bar alone? That makes zero sense.

@benlastname6667....Agree, I just notice your explanation, because commonly They always Compare the Dragon to ARC without complete full set. If you want to did a fair comparison, it both ought to be full set, The Nakamichi Dragon, you buy a system and you got it all full set, no more extra cost for extra equipment, while The Sonos Arc, You have to buy it separately, and if you buy the Arc with its full set compartments, it cost very high. So, if anyone or the reviewers say the Nakamichi Dragon is pricey, you have to see that other brand with the same specs and full set, cost more expensive. Sonos always known for its pricey...this is fact.

The Sonos Arc without a dedicated Sub at the very least does not support low frequency sounds well and the overall audio experience is not balanced. For the best experience, one should add the Subs and Surrounds to the Arc. These comments are from my personal experience at the store today.

Around 2850’s with 1 sub about 3700 with dual subs which is what I got myself and love the sonos tbh for what I need it is more than enough even for a dedicated theater. Two subs make it much better. The dragon would be better if it is more music but sonos is the best for movies since the imaging after the true play calibration has a more 3D effect. So with that being said the dragon is number one overall but sonos full 7.2.4 setup is a very close second 👌essentially close in price.

The dragon has aimable tweeters in its rear up firing drivers in the rear surrounds , and you say the sinks has better height effects? I sincerely doubt it. The dragon has Dts X pro, which most ave’s don’t even have. The sonos is a lifestyle product, and the dragon is a real alternative to an actual real home theater system with a receiver and Discrete speakers. It’s more for people who want an actual home theater experience, while the sonos is not for true home enthusiasts, but for people who prioritize decor and non intrusiveness over sound quality. He didn’t even discuss all the customization of sound you can do with the dragon.

I had a Sonos arc and gen3 sub, it was a huge letdown for the cost. The volume is low, it needs to be 50% at least to hear dialogue clearly.
I’m keeping my Bose 900 and 700 sub because it was better for dialogue, volume control, and soundstage.
The Bose app also has a better audio interface for eq settings.
This is my experience with anything it could be different for others but I’m sure all my settings of my lg c3 were correct for the best audio quality so that is all I can go by.

Your AI narration at times doesn't match the video. Example, you talk about Sonos, yet display Nakamichi images and video, and vice versa. Content is great, the presentation is piss poor. Try again.

Sonos is mainly good for music, for movies and games it's not that great, sound stage is not that great. Also no Bluetooth, no 2.1 pass through or dtsx, no remote, no Google assistant. Its mainly for iPhone people. It's not future proofed, it's missing too many features.

I think your channel is off to a good start but if you don’t mind, I’d like to let you know that because of the name. “Best Choice Review” I almost didn’t even click on it because I thought it was going to be one of those generic AI voiceovers that they just post over the manufacturers footage.
That could explain why you’re not getting a lot of views if others think the same.
    Good luck!
