UPI payment system was PM Modi’s vision. He efficiently executed n implemented all over India! Even in villages UPI is implemented
Seems you don’t have google. UPI was invented by NPCI which was established in 2008 not in 2014. It was developed and inaugurated by Raghuram Rajan who again you don’t know. How Modi helped Paytm in 2010 to establish when he came in 2014. Seems time travel is possible.

Yes since 2016 we don’t carry cash in our purse , we do digital transactions from 1 rupee to big money and you can see nook and corner of India . This system actually enabled almost every Indians to have bank accounts and it also helps Government tax dept to track transactions to avoid unaccounted transactions
This is UPI system. It works not only cities but also in remote villages. I myself bought 1 RS toffies by QR payment. 99% smartphone users all over India use this system. This is Digital India
Mr Abbas . The UPI payment system has become very easy for everybody.. No need to carry cash on your wallet and it is very safe no fear of pickpockets . Even you can transfer money to anybody throughout India. Even beggars have UPI account numbers. The UPI system is a unique way to make a cashless society and very safe . No crowd in banks for withdrawal and for depositing money . The banking system has become digital in India . And even the UAE is accepting the UPI payments and many more countries are willing to adopt the UPI system from India ...

UPI is a blessing for a common, hardworking Indians because we did not go the USA or Europe way!!! In USA, everything is driven by credit cards. Credit Cards can be helpful at times but it can increase your debt most of the times. USA is now struggling with credit card debts and people are unable to pay back the money they owe to the credit card companies. UPI is different as the transaction is directly in cash, through banks and digital payment system. So, common man is not indebted.
This is a revolution in my opinion.

1. We don't use UPI when we don't have a change, but UPI is the primary option of payment.
2. India records the biggest online payment transaction in the world. Brazil comes distant second.
3. UPI is now available in some other countries as well

The real power of digital payments is not really the cashless part. It is really the ability of creditors to reliability extend credit to these small & micro businesses based on their revenue statement, who were otherwise exploited by loan sharks.
Before this system Small vendors did not had Credit History or Money flow history. They have to take High Interest loans from Local money lenders to run their day to day business.
But, this system opened Low Interest formal credit market to poorest people in the society.

I must say, our PM Modi is a true visionary. This all has been achieved because he made it mandatory for each citizen of our country to have a bank account. Now,when everyone has their bank account activated and linked to their mobile number. Everyone here can happily accept these online payments.
I'm not carrying cash with me since 2016 and i dont even remember if i had to search for an ATM store for cash withdrawal in recent years.

I was travelling from Hyderabad ( Telangana) to Jagdalpur ( Chhattisgarh) by road. I stopped at village Konta which is situated deep in the jungle and border village of Chhattisgarh, Andhra pradesh & Telangana & had a cup of tea. I couldn't communicate with the woman selling tea for making payment & then she pointed towards the QR code . I was pleasantly surprised to see the penetration of UPI payment & availability of WIFI in India & paid Rs 3 per two chod of tea. The minimum amount which can be paid through UPI /QR code is Re 1/. Amazing technology & only implementation of this payment system is more than enough to vite for Modi to bring unbelievable technology.

My friend from England came to visit India this February.. even she was shocked at how convenient this QR payment system is.. small merchants can't have Card payment system but they'll have online payment system (QR code one).. and not just merchants.. anyone can pay anyone using this online system
Actually when we go from India to to UK- we will find it more difficult, as you need to carry card or cash, especially in smaller towns, and network is sometimes very bad in London..

You'll be amazed to know that out of 100 Global Digital Transactions 43 happens in India. Which means approximately every second digital payment in the World happens in India.
All this happened when in 2016 December Modi ji brought in in BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) and JAM (Linking Jan Dhan Bannk Accounts with Aadhar and link it to Mobile). And it turned out to be a game changer.

Abbas Sahab. Every month UPI hits 8 billion transactions. I live in Mohali. In June I withdrew Rs 5000 from Bank. I still carry Rs 3500 in my pocket, which shows use of cash has reduced considerably.
Bhai... one thing needed to be there in this vlog. You forgot to mention how those speakers attached to the QR code display, play a confirmation msg when the payment is received. This also can be checked by the merchant/shopkeeper, on his mobile.

In India government started opening bank accounts in 2015. Poor people who couldn't keep minimum balance were allowed to keep Zero balance.
Last year i went to Mumbai..i take only 2000 rupees and the fun fact is when i returned after 5 days still i have 1500 rupees..Thanks to UPI
We have become so much used to online transaction through UPI that it seems so strange to see someone be amazed with it. It has become so common for us.

The difference between Indian UPI and system in other countries is not that its used in small shops too. The main difference are:
1) Its connected to bank account not to wallet like in other countries.
2) U can pay from account in one bank to another bank using UPI. No other payment system allow this.
3) Instantaneous payment, 24x7, anywhere in India. Remember, its not wallet, its payment from bank account.
4) Small payments are allowed too

Faster payments are being implemented almost everywhere in the world, with different ways obviously. And UPI is definitely superb though.
Every country has this buddy. Except for wallet part, rest everything is same as India. And I see no issue even if it is wallet. Still it is hassle free
If you’re talking about Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and their wallet applications, then you should learn more on Interface thing. That’s a different interface based on how payment system works, just like UPI, but a different interface.
@@gauravmadan13it's not just the interface. Money is not added to your account instantly in wallet . It occurs over a longer period of time . In UPI it's seamless. Money get deducted from payer and shows up in recipient account simultaneously.
@@kaptainkc7415 I'm still not sure exactly which wallet you are referring to. But if it is apple wallet or google wallet or samsung wallet, they're just replicas of your credit/debit card, and dont store any money in the wallet. Its just keeping your payment cards digitally, and not physically. Payments clearing and settlement is again as per banks or merchant companies, wallet provider doesn't have any role in that too. If its visa or master card, realisation takes longer and incurs fee, if you're using eftpos method for payment, bank doesn't charge for that, and settlement is everyday as per batch process timing.
And I find it with zero failed transactions and faster than UPI for consumer.
And UPI is again faster payments for bank to bank transfer, which is implemented exceptionally well, but most countries I know have this faster payments thing implemented and its real time.
We are using phone pay, Google pay, and Paytm ❤
