Is After shock better than any damage gems ? i wonder if the common dmg gem would do more dmg from spike's explosion than normal aftershock dmg from skill itself

I am using earthshatter with devastate + armor explosion and I get massive screen clearing explosions it is so satisfying.

at what lvl can/should you swap to earthshatter? Swapping later will cost more gold...

Cannot inser Upheaval in my Eartquake, but can put in in Sunder, any idea ?
Read the gem, it supports skills that create fissures. Earthquake does not create fissures and sunder does.
What to play early game?
I ran leap slam bone shatter for clear as well as earthquake and then perfect strike for bossing
Early rolling slam + boneshatter, then leap slam + boneshatter, can use EQ to clear too if you have a good weapon and can one shot trash mobs with EQ
