What a good quality of life! I am glad some people in the world have this kind of life, working, eating, resting, and spending time with family or friends.
I'm very thankful you clarified around 8:00 that most of your day was stuff breaking and you trying to fix it because as a student I honestly felt very insecure because I thought nearing my graduation (I'm 1 yr away) I shouldn't be making as many mistakes/getting as many errors and I thought I'd not be able to be a good worker if I kept spending so much time having to fix errors!
I am 26 and have been out of school for 8 years. Decided to go to college and pursue a career in IT. I start next spring and I’m super excited. Just hope I do well enough to see through it! Can’t wait to be a software engineer!
Sitting in front of screens all day except when you're eating? That's exactly what I did when I started out too. As you progress, I think you'll find it is more and more important to cultivate 'real', 'physical' hobbies (cooking, working out, playing a sport, arts and crafts, playing musical instruments), and to be deliberate about making time for them. It's the only sustainable way to stay in this industry.
What a life. As a software engineer from olden days we had to show up at work by 8:00 at the latest. Bag lunch for half an hour at 11:30. Work to 5:00 if not ambitious.
I love seeing your daily vlogs. It’s so nice to catch up and see how you’re doing. It’s insane to think you run a successful channel, work for Google and still take care of yourself. So inspiring 💛
I’m honestly in total awe of you like you really are what pick me girls try to be without even trying like your really that dream girl but like a total girls girl too omg what an icon ❤
I went to google campus once with a friend and I was like where do I pay? Everyone laughed and told it was all free all day. These tech company pay you well + all the benefits and food.. I would never leave and gain a lot of weight and muscle🤣
I was wondering the same thing; where are the prices and check-out? Can you just grab a Hint water or Coffee and snack without paying? I worked Calif. State Govt. IT and we'd go to training down in Santa Clara at various Tech Companies...and I too was laughed at! LOL. Great video btw; just would love a little bigger font for your comments at the bottom... :) Thank you again for sharing your life in NYC and your Google work.
Your day as a software engineer was incredible and if it is an interesting job, you can see that you have a comfortable office to have effective productivity.🤗💖
i love how honest you are with going to therapy! :D people really don't talk about the importance of valuing your mental health and seeking some guidance/assistance for problems you may have in your life regardless of how society sees the problems - if its a problem for you no one else can tell you otherwise that it isn't
Your office is seriously amazing! I'm only in the office 1-2 days a week as well but our work restaurant closed during covid and never re-opened so food, drinks etc. all have to be purchased from shops nearby.
I was not expecting to enjoy this video, but the editing and the way you format your videos kept me hooked and interested. Good job and also watching your daily life and your work life was pretty cool
I love your vlogs! They're great! Also, I did therapy for half a year and it helped me a lot! I'm glad you're taking care of yourself! You deserve it! Start up and it's okay to not be okay are my favorite kdramas on Netflix! Hope you have a good week! :)

hey sarah, i might be the newest subscriber and i absolutely enjoy your videos, if it feels a lot to put out vlogs, take a break girl, breaks are much needed.
Hi! I love your vlogs, but often find the small white text hard to read because the background is usually to bright. I think adding a darker border to the text would make it easier to read. The border probably doesn't even have to be that dark to make a difference, so it won't mess up your nice and clean aesthetic that much
I was surprised seeing that you don't work a full 8 hour shift. You start at 10am with 1 hour lunch and leave at 5:30pm. That's good 🙂 I was thinking that working at Google means working overtime.
In Love with your voice, so calming !! Joining Google in few months! Looking forward to this! Nicely made video :) Also may I know where you got the Alaska cruise sweater? It's so cute :)
Hey, I loved your video and hearing you mention u feeling overwhelmed with work and your youtube. I would suggest outsourcing your video editing, which means hire someone to edit your videos for you, which would give more time to do other stuff amd also relax more. 😁♥️ HOPEFULLY THAT WAY YOU FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.
You should see my life as a software engineer in a startup. I need to wear so many hats. I am a Developer, Tester, DevOps, Technical Writer and IT. I always laugh out loud about those guys who show off in "A day in the life as...". It's RIDICULOUS! The only way to be an excellent software engineer is to work hard, get out of your comfort zone (learn new things) and take any opportunities present (take new challenges and risks) without kissing your superior asses or step on your coworker's toes. I got promoted in one year doing that and had a lot of respects from my peers and the CEO.
So basically this job consists of breaks and enjoying free food all the time. Must be great, im jealous. I work 45-50 hours with one 30-45 min break in between.
So she starts working at 10 am, takes a lunch, and then leaves at 5:30 pm. Jeez, must be nice to have a solid 6-7 hour work day!!! Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful video....very well made, but is this really the expectation for someone making > $100k?
She probably works similar hours overall. She just didn't show all of the work, as it's not that interesting watching someone sit at a computer, think and type. Whereas showing all the free food and cool office facilities makes it seem a lot more fun.
