God, I used to hang out with these guys. This really takes me back. What a great thrash band they were. This album holds up better than almost anything else from their peers in that era, in my opinion.
Maybe the best track of this unbelieveable album. Bought it back in 1990 and it directly blew me away. Today, in november 2021 and deep into covid times i listened to all the Forbidden Stuff which i haven't done for a lot of years. Still everything is great but this song and album is the greatest! Sadly i never saw them live on stage. Greetings from germany.
We've always been told to stand up tall "Guard the nation" This killing force that we have made, what for? I am sickened by this attitude that plagues The Mother Earth It always seems that we're all fighting We don't know what it's worth Close the door as they beg for more Children cry as they're left to die See the tears running down their faces See compassion is at end Mother Earth is crying Rest in peace... Peace! Who can you believe? It's never what it seems Feel the anger They're tightening the vice, now who pays the price? We will! I am saddened by this selfishness and, "Who cares" Attitude! Put down your arms and stop this fighting Save our Mother Earth Close your eyes, say your last goodbyes Self-destruct, we've run out of luck See the lights turn to darkness Realize there is no hope The human race is dying Rest in peace... Peace! Desperate - Is what we've all become Helpless - There's nowhere left to run Crushing - The spirit of mankind Forbidding - What's yet to come! We've always been told to stand up tall "Guard the nation" This killing force that we have made, what for? This song is one of my favorites....ever. Forbidden and King Diamond have some of the best songwriting in metal. I knew Paul would just dominate the scene.
Such an underrated band! I remember running across this album in a pond shop central California early 90s. Great riffs , perfect transitions, catchy solos and every song sounded different.
There are very few thrash bands that has an album to where all songs are masterpieces, though they have quite a few studio albums, this entire album by far is their pennacle
Forbidden were so brilliant and did so many things that tech death would expand on. They also had an amazing bass player. Its more intricate then Testament and Metallica and Exodus. So amazing for its time.
One of my favorite thrash metal albums ever. When I played guitar I wanted to emulate their technical style, and I copy no one... ever. Still makes my head bob and my blood pump!!!
Tim was such a bad ass guitarist! Underrated as fuck! Been a huge fan of his since I first heard Twisted Into Form almost 30 years ago. Fucking bummed to hear he passed.
@Enjoying No sir! Craig Locicero plays the solo at 3:53 and the mighty Tim Calvert plays the solo at 4:27, he's been one of my favorite guitarists since 1990.
@@RiffMajestic I did a little research and it was Glen Alvelais I was thinking about, well anyhow think Tim is alot better than Glen,Tim make the guitar whine almost talk,I love Tims style bro....rock on man!!!!
This band really should have been the next big thing for that Era. I don't see why they weren't way bigger than testament slayer and few others. I wish things were different. I can't stand listening to Kerry King half assing his way through his solos. This is the best thrash band from the 80s🤘🤘
The Riff before the verse reminds me of World In A World by Vio-lence when they say "World! In A World! ...And You Will Fear This Fucking World!". But that doesn't take away the fact that both songs kick ass! Forbidden rules!
This band should of been as big as Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax and Testament but unfortunately a lot of people overlooked them. Great band and a classic thrash album
Yeah. I always found Forbidden as a great influence on guitar. I think the problem why people kind of overlook them might be because the line-up changed so much. But I always liked a lot of their albums they released.
@LORDGOAT1976 A lot of people feel that way. In many lists where they are featured this usually tops their first record. It's a masterpiece of thrash and amazingly fresh from something as far back as 1990/1991.
Such an under-rated gem.
Forbidden never got the credit they deserved.

Dorian DeLuca
Very very underrated band...
@@thefnaffan2 Yeah they had more talent then all big four put together IMO.
577 Jersey Customs Adventures agreed...thank you
@Azhag Dark you forgot Vio-Lence's Eternal Nightmare
You did?? That's amazing!
The guitar work is amazing!

It spun my head around when I first heard this album. I listened to it for like 3 months straight... great metal record.
Bostaph killed on this album !!
Saw them with Death Angel and Oblivion during the tour for this album. It was epic.
Invented their own sound/style.
Iconic
+Bone holster Indeed...sounds weird, but Overkill/Pantera combo...which is pretty fucking cool... \mxm/

My absolute favorite thrash band of this era. This album has never been topped in my book!!
This is my favorite forbidden record.

Sad loss, this is still one of the best metal bands out of the 80's. Slayers gain from there loss!
Played this song live back in "92",my favourite band, and the ultimate album of this genre.
Forbidden were so brilliant and did so many things that tech death would expand on. They also had an amazing bass player. Its more intricate then Testament and Metallica and Exodus. So amazing for its time.
Testament destroys forbidden lmao, if you want a real quality underrated album then check out Artillery's By Inheritance which destroys this album

R.I.P. Tim. You were always tremendously underrated.
Twisted into form.... One of the greatest metal albums ever!!!!
Those differentiating rhythms starting at 0:57 still make me listen over and over
Bands like Forbidden, Vio-Lence and Laaz Rockit were equally deserving of the Big 4 fame.
This is my favorite song off this CD which is saying a lot since this is one of the rare CDs where I like every song.
The most foreboding guitar solos ever.
Forbidden is as good as Holy Terror.... hail 80s thrash!...
great album got this on vinyl with gold promo stamp for $20 hard to find.only one i saw on ebay.
R.I.P. Tim Calvert

Took too long to get an album out if you ask me. Thrash only had a limited shelf life, they needed to strike while it was hot.
Great fucking album!

I saw them open for Iron Maiden during the Blaze Bayley days.
@Skullsplitter They are when Blaze is singing.
Lol it would be Maiden opening for Metallica. 😁
Heaviest most kickass thrash band there could be.

Haha nice. Kreator is kickass for when you want something really heavy and fast with out being death metal.
I kinda like this more then their first album.
THINK I SNAPPED MY NECK TO THIS ONE AGAIN!
Oldschool Thrash!
Good,,,,
@88DEATHwish08 Testament is not really THAT big.... They are underrated like Overkill, Death Angel, etc. Atleast thats my opinion. \m/

oh and check out swashbuckle, they are kickass
is that you marty friedman?
Maybe if they still actually played thrash.
and Kreator, Sodom, and Exodus.
They came too late on the scene or they really would have been something!
Slayer, Metallica and Cie are only the basic stuff.... any thrash fan still need to listen to Forbidden, Testament, Nuclear Assault and cie as well XD
What about vio-lence
Lmao Testament were just wannabe non basic Metallica clones
