My guess about the Adidas and Ye deal, if it actually is a thing, is that Adidas owns the rights to the models, but all the stock they got now probably has the Yeezy branding on them. Because of that they have to make a deal with Ye to be able to sell that remaining stock. A talking point for you guys too could be what potential you think the Adidas x Bad Bunny deal has. I think Adidas should prioritize that deal more than they do know, since all the models, including the new Campus, are great designs that completely changes the original silhouettes

With all due respect there are plenty of shoes at retailers that are available right now. On 3/3/2023 you can buy nice sneakers that are 100% authentic, no need to buy reps/UAs. However, do as you wish and have a great day.
I'm not a really a traditional Sneaker guy, I do however collect Pocket knives. It's funny because the same thing is going on on the knife community in regards to Chinese clones/reps. There are knives like the Benchmade Bugout which is probably similar to the panda dunk in terms of popularity. (They actually made a Supreme × Benchmade Bugout) An authentic Benchmade Bugout costs between $140-$300. You can buy a Chinese clone for $15-$20. They spend the majority of the money replicating the packaging and the workmanship is terrible. Second there are the quality made reproduction versions that are well made and cost roughly 1/4-1/3 the authentic version. They still copy everything down to the Trademark and brand Logo. Lastly there are the ones that are awfully similar but they do not not copy the logo and have a few minor differences. These tend to be Well made and are honestly a good value in terms of build quality per dollar. I don't know exactly where I stand on the issue. I can tell you I definitely buy authentic and would never be caught dead with a clone. However I can understand a broke College Kid wanting something nice/cool and paying 1/4 retail and 99% of people won't know the difference. Even if no one else knows I would.
I’m confused where this talk about the “ quality “ being so nice on reps when it’s just genuinely not true…. Maybe on some pairs ig… instead of paying bank on shipping and buying a rep why not buy a clean pair of new balances ? Or just a clean authentic sneaker ?
My rep J's are just as good as my retail J's. There are different levels and if you're just going off of what is on Ali Express or DH Gate you're gonna get burned by Stock X.

Joe was ALIVE today …. Love it
Sneaker culture is in a REAL DIFFERENT place if wearing fakes is socially acceptable.
Falls in line with our society’s acceptance of inauthenticity overall.
Per the logic of “I want them but they’re too expensive…” I’m ok to simply miss out on the shoe
Welty has good logic @ 8:08
Preach brother.
Fake people wear fakes.
@@ap1027 A huge part of it has always been about exclusivity. Exclusivity is inextricably tied to the cost.
if you don't like reps, blame resellers. no one wants to spend 1000s on a pair of sneakers.
I love how quick y’all jumped right into it ! Sneaker game proper !
As a collector that’s been in the game for awhile, at this point I just feel people are going to buy reps either way !
I love the retail therapy conversation man ! Pure nostalgia
Such a beautiful episode guys !
The retail stories bring back memories. I remember having to bar lace the shoes, filling the holes and yes, trying to disguise the display shoes as fresh pairs from the back.
Really wish you all would’ve touched on the fact pairs are limited now due to bots and resellers and the introduction to stockX and GOAT made people overnight resellers so pairs are not touching actual consumers which opened a REP market to those consumers that are tired to taking L’s
Love the show gentlemen ! God bless the sneaker culture !
I see you Welty with that hip hop knowledge . Finding Forever … old school .
I listen to the CSP every week on GooglePodcasts,
but if there's a CSPxFSRxSS instore team selling episode,
with LaPuma, Dunne, Welty, and Trinidad.
I'M WATCHING THAT!!!
This episode had be rolling 😂,
with JLP and Welty explaining to Dunne,
"Sell the display.........fill the Holes.......SKU the sneakers.......Sale tag........lacing ......Run the Drags.........9:05am text.....who closed the wall?"😂🤣😭 This episode reminded me of my of rookie new hires.
Although I'm 500miles away in Toronto, we speak the same Slanguage. 👍
I come to this podcast for all the insight that it brings, but I stay for the stories like the ones that got shared at the end of the episode. Unmatched chemistry.
I buy reps because I wear my shoes
A lot of people buy real shoes and wear their shoes 💀💀💀 what’s your point ?
You guys selling sneakers in a store, Impractical Jokers style hidden camera show sounds great! 👏 Another great episode!
I wouldn't pay resell for the mars yard, but if I came across a very good rep for a price I'd probably buy it. But it seems like every week now people are hyping up weekly releases as "a grail." If I miss out, then I don't really care - there's a huge amount of good shoes out there in the market readily available.
The last part about y’all’s shoe store selling days gave me flashbacks. I dealt with all that stuff here in HOU. Great show
A 1-23 JLP Triple Black Jordan PE line would go hard
This the best episode you guys have done, all three of you are killing it. I listened once while awake and again while I slept. Please do the Welty vs Joe sell off, it’s a great idea!
Dude I’d def cop some jlp Jordan’s
Those Anthony Hamilton’s are 🔥
It’s nice to have a mix of reps and real pairs in your collection
No it’s not…

Most of the “high end” resale shops, instagram sellers are selling high quality UA’s. 😭😭How is it possible to have every hype shoe in stock in every size ? If your not buying direct from Nike or a Nike authorized retailer. They are fake. The reps are so good these days you would need a legit retail pair side by side to tell them apart. And the difference is 3%. 💯💯

@@anth2290 keep paying resell you 🤡😭😭😭your getting these 🇨🇳🇨🇳😂😂😂and I don’t even know it.

I don’t wear reps, but buy and wear what you find interest in.. put your own style into it as well!
The Footlocker/Footaction stories brought back memories.
It used to be deemed excessive to have 10-20 pairs. Now I have a ‘trim’ when I go past 250 (when I swore I never would again)
I'm at over 400. You'll be fine.
@@kevincollins8620 On track of hitting 500 this year, whole room in my house is dedicated for shoes.
@@Ghostmanetx post some of them kicks. I haven't uploaded all of mine at once... but at my precious residence I did do most of them at once. Like 4 years back. Now a days I have soo many shoes In boxes (the actual boxes) as opposed to loose because finding heat at Ross isn't like it used to be. So now I'm purchasing online mainly.
Yo Brendan! Who’s you barber? Such a fly cut
Nike dunks aren’t high quality they are C grade leather the exact same as the reps. Anvil Rose exposed the bs from Nike his videos are great. The Tom Sach’s GPS prolly the best shoe out
When u said c quality I knew exactly where u got that from lol
You’ve a moral duty to buy fake. The people making the fakes are more honest than the companies who create false shortages and inflated pricing
I know the Jordan 3’s are a must and I grew up in the Jordan era but I know this Pair means a lot so I’m going to Pass and hopefully free up a Pair. All or mostly white Colorway is the only reason, But appreciate the History🫡
48:00 I remember the time I scale on shelves too in getting shoes 🤣
Love the show, always wait for it every week! Keep up the good work. Wouldn’t even come to complex RUclips if it weren’t for y’all
With all due respect there are plenty of shoes at retailers that are available right now. On 3/3/2023 you can buy nice sneakers that are 100% authentic, no need to buy reps/UAs. However, do as you wish and have a great day.
Yall Gave me retail PSTD FootAction employee (2000 - 2004) Man I remember sending and getting those "hole" in the wall texts.
I love the Len song Steal My Sunshine. All of us around a certain age do. It reminds us of chill days b.sing
The instore event between yall DEFINITELY needs to happen!!! 😂
Those Charlene 11’s are x2🔥
This episode was nostalgia for me with the retail talk
I'm not a really a traditional Sneaker guy, I do however collect Pocket knives. It's funny because the same thing is going on on the knife community in regards to Chinese clones/reps.
There are knives like the Benchmade Bugout which is probably similar to the panda dunk in terms of popularity. (They actually made a Supreme × Benchmade Bugout)
An authentic Benchmade Bugout costs between $140-$300.
I haven't ever worn reps, but I would wear them over authentic New Balance every day of the week!
Retail stories giving me PTSD, nothing worse than filling holes at the end of the night and running drags back
FYI Brendan: I've been wearing my White Cement 3s from the shock drop on SNKRS since Feb. 28th. They are everything you want them to be and more.
I’m confused where this talk about the “ quality “ being so nice on reps when it’s just genuinely not true…. Maybe on some pairs ig… instead of paying bank on shipping and buying a rep why not buy a clean pair of new balances ? Or just a clean authentic sneaker ?
Nike SB Jordan 4 fav shoe of the year so far. Reimagined Cement 3’s second
My rep J's are just as good as my retail J's. There are different levels and if you're just going off of what is on Ali Express or DH Gate you're gonna get burned by Stock X.
Exactly, Ali Express and DH Gate is like the lowest tier of reps. High tier rep shops are A1 and Cappuccino. Basically LJR batch for Jordan 1s and M batch for Dunks
The conversation on yalls retails day is far more intriguing , y’all really got emotional with it! Y’all really need to brainstorm on how to create a retail model where you 3 take on positions and see who can sell more
I honestly despise when ppl like these guys pat themselves on back for thinking they made sneakers “big”…u didnt none of you did, all u did was report back on what u see us wearing nd talking about …lets not get confused here fantastic journalism but none of u nor ppl like u r “ Trendsetters” , love the work they do tho with that being said
Well said

Yea have the “Sell Off” here in Indy for all star next year maybe ask Matt to do at corperate.. bring Sergio with you also lol 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Love the podcast, but honestly you guys need to learn to not talk over each other and just let someone finish a sentence let a lone a dialogue. You swerve off topic a lot. Hopefully you can take this on board 🫡
I don’t think there’s any kicks, asides from the shattered backboards, that I covet enough to want to buy reps for. But I heard they were tough to find decent reps for.
Ayy Welty got the Maine wildlife shirt on! Crazy they shut down ur old store but if you ever in Maine Welty come by Maine Mall FTL you always welcome
My thing is if they are reps and your claiming to be reps then it’s cool, but if they’re reps and your claiming them to be real or acting like they are then that’s the issue
Fact
I swear I had the same retail memories as Walty in a sneaker shop I had worked for, during my stay for 18 months we had the same DVD, I can literally know every song coming next at the time of the day. the opening song at 9:30 was I see fire Ed Sheeran, and the closing song was I took a pill in Ibiza at 19:25.
Great episode (as usual!) guys. Absolutely loved the retail stories! :)
Since JLP and Welty are doing the competition. Brandon can be the runner lol bringing you to shoes back and forth from the stock room.
As a former FinishLine/JD manager, I’m outselling jlp and Welty EASY
I've never done it, but I'm all for it. The people who would actually wear the shoes can't afford them.
They look roomier in the toe box like 90s, I wear 12.5 with Air Max 90s but either 12.5 or 13 with Air Max 1s. Do these fit more like 90s or regular 1s, I sold my LTPT AM1s in size 13 because they were too big, I don’t want to make the same mistake with these. Can you please advise me?!
1-23 would be orange and purple accents with predominantly white, black or gunsmoke yellow leather and or suede edges sail laces and midsole with gum or glow in the dark outsole. Green insole and red and blue alt laces. Possibly turtle power under outsole.
Congrats to Dunne on the scar clearing up nice.
I will bankroll a retail challenge between Joe and Welty.
That's not the Jada laugh that's the Pierre Bourne tag lol 🤣😂
I wonder what they're opinion on "On cloud" running sneakers is...
There’s nothing wrong with buying reps
Old-school sneakerheads need to get in with the times. There's a study that says 75% of Gen-Zs rep fakes for the sole reason that everything is so freaking expensive nowadays. No one will know either way, and even if they did, barely anyone's going to be up in your face to call you out on it.
New-school counterfeit apologists need to show more respect to this hobby that’s been around long before them
@@NE0C0R7EX Who made the sneaker/resell market unreasonably pricey again? The new-school is merely adapting to the clusterfck of a system that the previous gen created.
@@jijapuli There’s always been unaffordable kicks and bricks and everything in between. It’s always been this way and fakes have always been unacceptable
Love the podcast and long time listener, but as someone else posted in the comments, Jesus H. Christ the talking over each other makes it so hard to track the conversation and its really harsh on the ears. Please just let someone finish a sentence let a lone a dialogue. I know you all are close friends so they talking over each other has that natural element to it in your conversation, but its wild crazy for the listener to keep up and a little annoying
Thank you! It’s almost like they’ve never done a podcast before lol
They need to wear headphones to hear each other speak, it’s also a very NY thing that I’ve learned the hard way about
I think the thing people that have such easy access to sneakers nowadays don’t realize is that getting sneakers has never been harder and resell for the most basic sneaker has gotten ridiculous. It just doesn’t make sense financially to spend $1000 for a simple shoe with a dope color way vs $100 for a rep that looks and almost feels exactly the same
Nikes quality is subpar with tons of flaws as we’ve seen in the Joran 3 reimagined! Reps now have the same quality as authentic pairs with less flaws since they actually do quality control to make sure the buyers doesn’t get called out or call them out on Reddit.
Joes brain is like the one episode on SpongeBob with the filing cabinets 😂
We NEED the Sell Off between JLP and Welty!
It’s called a boat! Great episode boys
I got finessed on a pair of SB Dunks via online purchase which turned out to be fake . After some weeks I started to wear them cause hey, I didn’t want to sell them to someone and to throw them away would also hurt in regards to the money I spend so I just wear them sometimes.
Also it’s not a super hyped release, just a pair of Ceramics 😂
What song do they use for the intro?!?!?
I was jus thinking so if we can get a nike sb tag on retro releases then cant we get more nike sb collabs wit retros so we can get tht sorta OG back tab feel but not it ruining the backbone of the OGs yk
