Can't blame her for the choice. Jaffar is a wizard (a vengeful one, when you know the story of Shadow and the Flame, better not anger him!), and he also knows how to run a country, different from a street boy.
So bad for the Prince, who could have been a great soldier or commander on the Persian Army, if he didn't killed himself.

WOW I nearly believed that this is not just a animation, but some kind of hack, But the only one thing that shows this make up is when the prince look at the floor here 1:04 , as well Jafar's head is blurry

It's only editing. The moment Princess coddles Jaffar's feet is when the Princess coddles the mouse! Jaffar is drawn upon the drawing of the Princess lying down. That is why his legs look feminine. I unraveled all my secrets.... now take back that Jaffar's head is blurry :)

It was very very easy compared to let's say lemmings. Prince of Persia 2.. that one was hard yes.
