Alexander Springs - Ocala National Forest, FL

- In this video we check out Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest. Although the weather was a little gloomy while we visited, the rain held out and we were able to enjoy this beautiful area. We first explored the surrounding park and then took a dip in the refreshing spring. The water gently sloped toward the 25ft-ish deep spring pool that contained a cave. This park is the only one that provides certified divers an opportunity to explore the spring. Once we were done swimming, we wandered the campgrounds to check out the units and camping options. It was a nice selection. We will return one day to try it out. Once we were done we enjoyed lunch and made our way home. Come along as we show off this exciting place!

There are too many springs I'm Florida for me to go to but I've been to Alexander springs alot with boy scouts since we can hike through ocala national forest and camp right at the springs it's a really neat spring it's nice and wide and deep

The last time we were there you had stairs leading to the spring water. Is that still the case?
Yes there were stairs in center of the spring and on the right side. We found the right side was easier than the center. There was a lot of shallow areas to hang out and enjoy the water. Thanks for watching!

Do you know how crowded it gets in July?
We went in June on the weekday and it wasn't too bad. We would guess July is the same. Really hard to visit a spring on the weekend. We always recommend getting to a spring as early as possible. Good luck and have fun! 🙂
