@aynatn This is called the Austrian Waltz. It is an International level ice dance. Very difficult, but very beautiful when people like Meryl and Charlie skate it.
i am just now watching their older programs and they WERE more in touch with each other. it's as if by 2012 some spark was gone. they were technically fabulous in the olympics but it was different here. i wonder....they always say they are not in a romantic relationship - now - but i wonder back then when they were 20/21. the exhibit skate, they were just loving.
@Lara Hartley: they've both said that, because they started skating together so early, a romantic relationship never entered their minds. And that their drastically differently personalities (Meryl was very shy, Charlie very out-going) prevented them from connecting on a personal level until years later. Also, Charlie and Tanith have been dating for almost 5 years. That probably has something to do with Charlie and Meryl's "lack of romance". Their connection (which V/M fans say they don't have) is not in the romantic sense but it's there.
@amanderrheart Ha ha you are not alone, I don't dislike it maybe because I am the boy, but most girls don't like it because they must do a lot of difficult steps in this dance

I could see a possible deduction for not keeping an even distance between their upper bodies. Too close then too far in bits.
