Big Woods Bare Ground Hunting (Close call on a buck)

“That’s a big rock.” 😆 I know I say that to myself all the time while I’m hunting. Pretty amazing to see boulders one third the size of my house just randomly placed in the middle of the forest. Came across a lone 5’ tall rock this year that had a tree growing right on the top of it. The roots came down around all sides of the rock and into the ground. Pretty amazing to think about the process of how it grew like that.

Climbing that beech to get the nuts, must be a good producer. Most of our beech didn't produce last fall.

if I was you calling on the edge of that thicket right where you jumped the buck is a spot that you shoud go back to.he had to hear you coming and he thought you were a deer even next year .add foot stomping branches breaking four 2 minutes .then move 120 yards down wind and weight 1 hour in my experance if you did that 4 times you stood get a shot .great video keep posting
