Shuffle dancing is so great looking. Haven't learned it, tried it about a year ago and might try again, but haven't gotten even close to doing it. I just turned 57 and the only thoughts are, I wish I learned it about 30+ years ago, but it is never too late, so will try again and see if I get some of the steps. Amazing and props to all who have done it and perfected it. Love the music in this video as well.
It's easy. There are some great tutorials on YT for beginners at any age. I mean any age. It takes a bit of energy. I don't want to mention how old I am.
Interesting version of a personal favourite track from the 70's, mind blowing, nice moves from the girls.
It is made in the 60s by Gershon Kingsley and there has been a new version every few years. Everyone from their decade thinks the version they heard in their teens is the original.

Released in 69 and 72 by the original composer then again in 72 by his collaborator, which is probably the only version to get significant airtime, so all the same era and group of musicians. No significant remake or cover in the decades following. Just because you made the mistake doesn't mean everyone else did.

This Is NOT the original version. Note: Popcorn is credited as being the first fully electronic "hit" in 1972 peaking at no 8 (I think) using the Moog synthesizer. There were some earlier recordings and releases with limited success.
That's what I thought, too- somebody didn't do a deep enough dive to find the REAL original! GOOD help is hard to come by these days, I guess!!

I agree. The original is nothing like this. It came out in ' 72 and I always heard it on my pocket AM radio. Kids today, "What's a pocket AM radio?" Look up Hot Butter-"Popcorn Song" on here.

I loved this video, I have seen lots of similar 'freestyle'/ spontaneous choreography and it is great. It is great to see people out with their friends, enjoying life doing what they love doing. There is a lot of talent out there. What type of dance is this called? It is really clever, but likely a lot more difficult than it first appears. Thanks for sharing.
