I love 'show & tell'! This is highly valuable content, super useful. Saving it to favourites. This made me think of Elaine Ingham (I hope that's a compliment) except it's way more concise and user friendly. Merçi❣️

Well done, you explain these things very well. Camera lighting could be better. If you had directed your camera so that you had more of the light in your face it would have been easier to see the details.
I do most of this monitoring, but I haven't bought a brix meter yet. Please provide a link to the particular model you bought.
I have one comment on your use of the penetrometer. Firm soil is not necessarily a bad thing, dense plant roots can fool you in to thinking that the soil is firmer than it should be. Otherwise i agree with you totally. For example, young forests needs disturbance to do their best. You could make clearings around late succession plants like oak or elm to speed up their development.

Well done Takota and very useful information you've provided. I'm on my way out in the morning to take some samples of different parts of the property. Sure looking forward to reading the book you just put out which will arrive next week. 🌱😁👍

Another comment on sound. The recording quality is very good, but you could increase the volume a little, it is low compared to other channels on youtube. You could also add some eq'ing and compression. I can help out if you pm me.

Have you ever added sugar to your soil around your plants and watered it in and checked brix of leaves in a day or two?
