    Can you do a video on how to repair a cracked forend of a SMLE? They are hard to find replacements parts for, and even if I do, it won’t look right.

    Would shim brass or some shim cut from a beer can be better?

    Mine has about a millimeter of gap at the top and is in contact only at the bottom. I'm not as concerned about accuracy as much as safety, so is that dangerous or going to result in a split stock?

      The video was specific about the stock socket fitting and how it effects accuracy.
