- I feel like I’ve been watching this video in my head for a long time and I wanted to make it so you can see it too!
This fun project really contains so much of me and the things I like. I can't thank my friends enough for staring in the commercial. This was such a blast to make and I’m proud of how it turned out.

Not sure how this was a suggested video for me... but I'm glad it was. It'd be cool to see more behind the scenes on the software/modeling side of this build too.

What an absurd amount of effort to put into a 9 minute video!! This could've been an hour with all the amazing details that you make look so easy lol.
Just curious - is there going to be another video on this project? A breakdown of the process, software, iterations, etc? That would be absolutely fascinating to watch, and the teaser at 8:29 certainly has me curious for more!
Everybody sucks at soldering until they find out that the tip is _always_ supposed to be clean and shiny. You increase its lifespan by "tinning" the tip, it just means covering it in solder. Once the tip gets oxidized and solder doesn't stick to it anymore, it is as good as trash.
Very wise advice. I am learning the hard way and slowing finding out this kind of information. Thank you for letting people know!

This is a great idea! I've even thought of something similar, unfortunately, I don't have access to all the 3D printing I want, or enough tech knowledge. You've got some neat skills and devices at your disposal for cool projects like this!

Piano ring? Idk what that is but it gives me a great idea (which may have already been done) - VR virtual piano with finger-trackers for playing it. Great for a bar in a VRPG world.
I actually made about 85% of that video and never finished it. It's a small ring I can play 8 notes on. So maybe one day I'll revisit it.

I love seeing creative, crafty projects like this since it's not something I have any experience with myself. Personally, I wonder though if it would've worked better, both for filming and for playing, if you attached the screen to the gun itself somehow. I know that wouldn't have been as VR-y as this but yeh.

You should have just mounted the screen on the gun itself, that way you aim with the gun not your head.
A few people have mentioned that so I'm considering a part 2 video with a larger screen attached to the zapper :)

i'm wasting about the same amount of prints for every project, how somebody doing 3d prints for money I don't understand, in my practice I can never get the perfect fit on the first try.
