I just started to get into more expensive colognes at the age of 65. I love your videos and have learned quite a bit about different types of colognes and such. What i usually do is buy little spray testers and try them out to see which of the ones i would like to purchase bigger bottles of. So far i have Versace Eros flame (which i really like a lot). Armaf Tres Nuit. Missoni Wave, currently waiting on Armaf Club De Nuit Intense (limited edition) in the bigger bottles. its hard to pick a fav. when they all smell really awesome.

Currently have six frags, when I started all I had was YSL Y EDT and L’eau D’Issey, now I’ve added three winter scents: The One EDP, BDC parfum, and Spicebomb extreme, also picked up Terre d’hermès which I remembered enjoying years ago. Looking forward to fleshing out my spring/summer options in a few months!

I got them both on Fragrance Buy last year. Hawas is really good too. Hawas is a stronger scent and lasts a bit longer but I just prefer the uniqueness of Lemon Trees more.

I started collecting fragrances around 6 years ago. The collection grew to about 350 bottles, not including the backups. Most of them were blind buys. In early 2020, I realized I wasn't wearing most of them, so I began selling off the ones I barely touched. I narrowed it to only the scents I absolutely love. Today, it sits at about 90. Now, as a rule, I sample before any purshase. I'm a loyal customer of Scent Split these days, the 5 mL samples are plenty for me to get a few full wearings and determine whether I'll love it or just like it. I only wear 4 frags lol I think my whole collection is only about 7 or 8. Some of them just sit there and don't really wear like Eros and One EDP. Also gifted a bottle of Boss Bottled Infinite I never touch. I basically just rotate between Sauvage EDP, YSL Y EDP, BDC EDP and AHSEE. Literally all I need. I did just order a bottle of PLR Carbon tho.
I would like to hear you talk about the notes and the scent profile more than your feeling towards a certain scent. I had to go on fragrantica to learn that Hawas is actually sweet. I can then tell you have a sweet tooth (nose?) when it comes to frags. That's important information if I wanted to get samples based on what you like.
I have over 300 fragrances now. PDM Layton, Creed Aventus, Dior Homme Parfum, Mancera Red Tobacco & Amouage Interlude Man are frequently used now. That will change when the weather gets warmer.

I just hit 23 and looking at them, there are about 10 I wouldn't really miss. Here's the bottom 10: 1. Encre Noire Sport 2. Encre Noire a la Extreme - These two are just not as good as the original. 3. Lalique Pour Homme (Lion) - It would be great if not for one bitter note in the base that ruins every phase of this. 4. Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey - The incense in a sample got me to grab this. It makes my head hurt. 5. Hanae Mori HM - It eventually smells just like lemons and chocolate but in a stomach churning way. 6. Salvatore Ferragamo Subtil - Non-existent performance. Damned shame. 45 sprays and it's instantly a skin-scent. 7. Halloween Man Shot - It's just OK. Very boring dry down. 8. Franck Olivier Oud Vanille - Disgustingly sweet candy sitting on top of a very sharp raspberry and rose. Very strong. 9. LaCoste Red: Style in Play - This actually got me into colognes. It's nice and piney but sweet and short-lived. 10. Bentley Man Intense. This stuff is revolting. Do not blind buy it.

Similarly my most worn frags of about 100 are Hawas, Moustache EDP (SOTD), The Most Wanted Parfum, Cedrat Boise, Odyssey (black) by Armaf, One Million Lucky, ADG Profondo, Spicebomb Extreme, Nautica Voyage ( which replaced Bentley Silverlake, forgot I'm on a second bottle of Nautica) , and finally Detour Noir.

Has anyone had an experience with the new batches of YSL Y EDP? They said it was weaker after the release of YSL Y PARFUM and it may have been “reformulated”. Does it still have the same longevity as it used to or is it really weaker?

I bling bought V and R Spicebomb Extreme from Dillard's this past year and I absolutely hate it on my skin. Its probably my least complimented fragrance in my collection. In fact everyone around me dislikes it on me. It sucks because it's about 97% full. I often use the original Spicebomb, it works perfectly on my skin.

I just bought BDC Parfum last week, I would say get a sample of it and try it out before you buy because of the price point. For me personally, I tried it and a couple other similar blue frags over a couple days and loved it so I got the 100ml. It smells fantastic, luxurious and it’s super versatile, works basically any season day or night BUT you are correct you can get 2-3 cheaper scents for the same price Edit: I’d also recommend trying BDC EDT/EDP since they have similar scent profiles but are both cheaper than the Parfum. I'm a clone collector and got a BDC clone called Sayaad Al Quloob by Ard Al Zaafaran. This clone smells absolutely incredible with outstanding projection and longevity. COMPLIMENT BEAST!!! I highly recommend you buy both a sample of the original BDC and this clone. Spray both samples side by side without knowing which one is which. Who knows, maybe you'll pick the clone and your bank account will thank you (unless you are wealthy, then don't bother getting clones😄).
I have all 3 BDC and the parfum is my favorite but least versatile imo. Smell all 3 and give them a chance to dry down because they smell fairly similar in the opening. The edt and edp have an incense note some don't love but personally I think the parfum would be a little rich for mid summer.
Personally if I don't wear them I sell or trade them. Of course, in my 300 frag collection (which I'm trying to keep that size) I wear some more than others. Last thing I want is a frag just to say I have it but of course I'm also not a influencer which is a different story.... and it's their job.

I have like, 55 or so fragrances, and of those, Dior Homme Intense is one I pick up a ton. It's absolutely one of the greatest masterpieces in the designer realm. Fantastic stuff. It and Gentleman EDP are my two favorite iris scents by far.

@@kelvinnana205 a friend of mine had By the Fireplace and I enjoyed it a lot. I was looking at Replica scents and decided to blind buy Jazz Club and Lemon Trees. I got them both on Fragrance Buy last year. Hawas is really good too. Hawas is a stronger scent and lasts a bit longer but I just prefer the uniqueness of Lemon Trees more.
My favorites: Mont Blanc Individuel, Emblem, Legend Midnight, Coach New York, Club de Nuit intense, CK Aqua, One Shock, Dior Fahrenheit, John Varvatos Star USA.

I started collecting fragrances around 6 years ago. The collection grew to about 350 bottles, not including the backups. Most of them were blind buys. In early 2020, I realized I wasn't wearing most of them, so I began selling off the ones I barely touched. I narrowed it to only the scents I absolutely love. Today, it sits at about 90. Now, as a rule, I sample before any purshase. I'm a loyal customer of Scent Split these days, the 5 mL samples are plenty for me to get a few full wearings and determine whether I'll love it or just like it. I only wear 4 frags lol I think my whole collection is only about 7 or 8. Some of them just sit there and don't really wear like Eros and One EDP. Also gifted a bottle of Boss Bottled Infinite I never touch. I basically just rotate between Sauvage EDP, YSL Y EDP, BDC EDP and AHSEE. Literally all I need. I did just order a bottle of PLR Carbon tho.
I would like to hear you talk about the notes and the scent profile more than your feeling towards a certain scent. I had to go on fragrantica to learn that Hawas is actually sweet. I can then tell you have a sweet tooth (nose?) when it comes to frags. That's important information if I wanted to get samples based on what you like.

You've got great taste, I love all three! Right now I'm rocking the best cheap clones of all three and they are absolutely way more worth it for me personally.

I just hit 23 and looking at them, there are about 10 I wouldn't really miss. Here's the bottom 10:
1. Encre Noire Sport
2. Encre Noire a la Extreme - These two are just not as good as the original.
3. Lalique Pour Homme (Lion) - It would be great if not for one bitter note in the base that ruins every phase of this.
4. Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey - The incense in a sample got me to grab this. It makes my head hurt.
5. Hanae Mori HM - It eventually smells just like lemons and chocolate but in a stomach churning way.
6. Salvatore Ferragamo Subtil - Non-existent performance. Damned shame. 45 sprays and it's instantly a skin-scent.
7. Halloween Man Shot - It's just OK. Very boring dry down.
8. Franck Olivier Oud Vanille - Disgustingly sweet candy sitting on top of a very sharp raspberry and rose. Very strong.
9. LaCoste Red: Style in Play - This actually got me into colognes. It's nice and piney but sweet and short-lived.
10. Bentley Man Intense. This stuff is revolting. Do not blind buy it.

I have ysy y edp, but prefer parfum. Also have 3 other ADG and prefer profondo. Lastly, have all the BIRs, but prefer the original BIR.

Similarly my most worn frags of about 100 are Hawas, Moustache EDP (SOTD), The Most Wanted Parfum, Cedrat Boise, Odyssey (black) by Armaf, One Million Lucky, ADG Profondo, Spicebomb Extreme, Nautica Voyage ( which replaced Bentley Silverlake, forgot I'm on a second bottle of Nautica) , and finally Detour Noir.

Over a 1000+??..Dude that's a lot..you must have a lot of backups...I stopped at 600..kinda, and I started to declutter and mostly gave away ones I don't regularly use to my brothers. Anyway, a solid 10 for your personal picks, I've never tried Hawas so I might just look into getting one before the summer...I think the price of that one has doubled since I once saw it online about 2yrs ago...lols...🌟🔥👍🇨🇦
Has anyone had an experience with the new batches of YSL Y EDP? They said it was weaker after the release of YSL Y PARFUM and it may have been “reformulated”. Does it still have the same longevity as it used to or is it really weaker?
I own about 36 fragrances, not counting the decants. I already think is too much, im trying to end some. But the discontinued ones are my treasure lol. Other day looking to my humble collection, I've thought that I could live with only the Diors I have... Sauvage, fahrenheit, dior homme, DHI, dune. All occasions would be covered.

I bling bought V and R Spicebomb Extreme from Dillard's this past year and I absolutely hate it on my skin. Its probably my least complimented fragrance in my collection. In fact everyone around me dislikes it on me. It sucks because it's about 97% full. I often use the original Spicebomb, it works perfectly on my skin.
Same here bud. I don't get the hype with extreme it's very boring. Original spicebomb was incredible for me

i have a simple question- is bdc parfum worth buy to use it daily for spring/summer?Maybe buy a more fragrances for that prices?
I just bought BDC Parfum last week, I would say get a sample of it and try it out before you buy because of the price point. For me personally, I tried it and a couple other similar blue frags over a couple days and loved it so I got the 100ml. It smells fantastic, luxurious and it’s super versatile, works basically any season day or night BUT you are correct you can get 2-3 cheaper scents for the same price
Edit: I’d also recommend trying BDC EDT/EDP since they have similar scent profiles but are both cheaper than the Parfum. Cheers!
I'm a clone collector and got a BDC clone called Sayaad Al Quloob by Ard Al Zaafaran. This clone smells absolutely incredible with outstanding projection and longevity. COMPLIMENT BEAST!!! I highly recommend you buy both a sample of the original BDC and this clone. Spray both samples side by side without knowing which one is which. Who knows, maybe you'll pick the clone and your bank account will thank you (unless you are wealthy, then don't bother getting clones😄).
I have all 3 BDC and the parfum is my favorite but least versatile imo. Smell all 3 and give them a chance to dry down because they smell fairly similar in the opening. The edt and edp have an incense note some don't love but personally I think the parfum would be a little rich for mid summer.
I currently have 41 fragrances but in about 5 years , I want to shrink it down to 10 .
Personally if I don't wear them I sell or trade them. Of course, in my 300 frag collection (which I'm trying to keep that size) I wear some more than others. Last thing I want is a frag just to say I have it but of course I'm also not a influencer which is a different story.... and it's their job.
Is Rasasi Hawas discontinued?

The reserve Privee lasts really long. It also smells absolutely amazing the next day on my clothing.
I feel like hawas, is very close to Valentino uomo born in Roma but note breakdown isn’t that close on fragrantica, anyone else getting that smell?
