  • this DIY video shows you the steps on how to replace a rear shocks on BMW E90. this will apply to all E9X chassis. make sure you chock your tires and place an extra jack stands or put the tire you removed underneath the car for safety. don't use the floor jack as a jack stand. floor jack is only for lifting the car. always remember, "safety first".

Good video. One suggestion - when torquing the wheel bolts, use a crisscross star pattern instead of going around in a circle. Helps ensure the wheel and rotor are properly aligned.

Best video out of all the ones I watched, good extra detail on the little thing like gray trim in the truck, plus the torque setting, etc. 2 thumbs up!

This video has not got enough attention or credit. Most people who make videos may know what they're doing, but can't convey their knowledge for shit. I am doing this precise job right now, but I am experiencing confusion on how to put the nee parts on because my old parts are so deteriorated that they are unrecognizable. This video shows the different parts and the order in which they go! That is priceless to me! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

That top trick to tighten German tighten. The top part. Thank you for showing that if I didn't fix cars I'd be wondering what part I'd need and where to buy it and how to do it .

Very good information, but please don’t suggest to people to work under a car with dangerous support like that. You were right to chock both sides of the front wheel. If you can, avoid using scissor jacks for anything but an emergency tire change, they have very little sideways stability. Use a trolley Jack under the body of the diff (not the back cover, as you could damage it). Jack up the car and place a pair of Jack stands under the rear lifting pads ( the ones you put your emergency scissor Jack under). Lower the trolley Jack to rest the car on these. Now you can work on the car safely and use the trolley Jack to compress the suspension once the shock is in place.

Good video. 👍 will be doing in the street seeing dealership has been out of the question since 2004 you can fix all bmw problems at home. Next good video I'd watch is how to remove the intake manifol in engine bay and rig everything so you can remove everything again so you can always get to starter after that the bleeding procedure then removing all suspension parts and paying for alignment. Good video
