Excellent work one of the best professional repair I seen 👆 I have BMW X5 e70 2009 and I was clean the AC with foam cleaner and everything it was working fine the problem next day ccc not working and the screen is black don’t show anything except when I move to the R gear the rear camera show no signal I checked all the cables and the fuses with tester it’s working … any suggestions about this please and if the ccc that not working how I can send it to you for fixing
You damaged ccc power supply at minimum but most likely it dripped to actual board. We have like 29 boards destroyed from x5 water damage leaking from central vent.
My CCC is starting to misbehave. i have experience doing SMD work and have done reballing with an IR machine and hot air station at work. I am however not very knowledgeable in troubleshooting a board that is not obviously short circuited etc. How would i go about troubleshooting a board that works but sometimes fails to boot? If the unit is booted it works fine, navigation music etc. First start of the day will be fine, but after stopping the car for a few mins it can get stuck in a reboot loop where the BMW logo fades to white. It seems to be worse on hot days. Any advice?
Why don’t you buy the BGA’s already reballed so you can just program them and drop them in? Surely you can save hours not having to reball each chip manually.
Not when u are charging $650 for a reflow job. I would rather try my luck even it is my first time doing reflow. If it fails, I will buy a used one on ebay and try my luck again. $200 might be more likely to get u more customers who never holds a soldering iron.
Reflow? How about reballing, replacing chips 4-8hrs job, 200$? It’s like minimum wage, plus you have to provide real warranty for 20 year old unit. You’re welcome to compete in this business, try it, it tastes SO GOOD! Oh and on top of that soldering causing cancer and other “nice” things to your lungs…. Reflow it and let me know if it worked:) reflowers end up here and ppl pay twice for reflow repair…
Where would one train to repair electronics?
