You have some of the most beautiful tarantulas, finally at 79 years old I can say that👍🏻😂🤣I was scared of any spider all my life😖❤️thank you for sharing your videos with us.
Featherleg is completely underrated. She is THE most beautiful of all T's and is well more docile than all those horror reports claim! Was my first oldworld, I've kept 3 now, and never ran into any issues. Try keep her semi arboreal. When slings and juvies can dig, they are more happy and relaxed. I don't know in what climate you live, if it's dry you should give her a hydrometer so humdity doesn't below 80% or better 90%. I seem to have noticed they are far more active and aggressive when it's dry, maybe due to dry season in their homeland.
Im super lucky i guess my p irminia is pretty chill i glued a few pieces of cork on the side of her enclosure with ssome moss ontop and she chills right behind it and just chills sshee took food for me the day i got her in the mail and i absolutely love her
Stunning spiders. 🖤 It’s only August but the temp plummeted from mid to high 70s at night for weeks to nearly 50 degrees tonight. Everything is still green, but it feels like autumn and I am so ready for it. 🎃🍂🍁 Can’t wait to see what you have in store for this coming Halloween. 👻
Crazy footage, hats off to you wrangling them! I recently was humbled by a bolty OBT...lots of lessons learned that day! I now do my rehouses in the bathtub. In a tote. With a towel under the door. With a catch cup right there😆
Thank you. It’s difficult to come up with different ideas considering there’s a limit to what you can do. Now I gotta start thinking of something new for next year. 😂
Loved this! Thank you! Yeah, I'm a spooky movie buff, too, and so are my two grown sons. I raised then right. Lol! They don't get the tarantula thing, though.
Happy Halloween Alex! 😁 Great intro. My P. irminia is outside her hide almost every night but with the cambridgei it is the other way around, but they are such beauties. I realy enjoyed the video, great list of tarantulas.
Wow. That’s funny. I see my P. irminia almost every night. I have 3 P. cambridgei and all of them like to sit out all day. One is a little more shy than the others. 🤓👍🏼
Love the Tarantulas. I never liked Slasher films. I'm more of a suspense and thriller fan. That's why I prefer Japanese or Southeastern Asian movies. The American remakes seldomly come close.
Got 3 out of 6. P. irminia, P. vittata and H. maculata. I was hoping when you said no Pumpkin Patch, that you were going to bring out Fire Red Pumpkin (H. sp. "Guerilla"). 👻 HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 🎃
I was waiting to see if the H MACULATA was going to be added to the list, the first old world species I'm really after adding to my tarantula collection 🕷🕸🖤 scares me 😂
Wow Alex, all 6 tarantulas are lithe fast arboreals, I think you may have a preference. It is a preference I seem to share with you, as the Psalmopoeinae family is my favorite. I was fully expecting to see Grammostola pulchra or Brachypelma smithi in there somewhere, but it was all arboreals. Also my research has led me to believe that H. maculatum and S. calceatum do possess the most potent venom, with the latter being the only tarantula bite death I could find a reliable record of. A 3 years old was bitten on the back of the neck, and passed away 2 days later
Yep. I’ve done mostly terrestrial in the past, I was trying to move in a different direction. I did have OBT footage I was going to use. But my OBT is so crazy I couldn’t pull it out of the enclosure without it bolting everywhere. I’ll have to look that up about the S. calceatum. I guess we can’t say that no deaths have been attributed to tarantula bites anymore. 😱
Yeah I know that. I did say Frankenstein’s monster when I showed the picture but afterward I didn’t. Also in the 1931 Boris Karloff version they painted the monster a grayish-green color to make him appear different on film than the rest of the cast members since it was black & white. Since then he’s been portrayed as green in many colored versions, so it is associated with the character despite Mary Shelley’s actual vision for the character. 🤓👍🏼
Ugh they are so damn beautiful

Happy Halloween, Alex!!! Love you and your videos
Thank you so much! 😊 Happy Halloween! 🎃
P. Vittata would probably look awesome under black lighting
I wish it would but tarantulas don’t glow under backlights like scorpions do. 🎃
@@TarantulaHaven No but white dose pop
Nice Video

Hi dan! Can you share a link or something to that death attributed to a tarantula? I cant find it. Thanks in advance.
Alex, awesome video, buuuut, Frankenstein is the doctor. Not the monster. He is not green he is just human.
Yeah I know that. I did say Frankenstein’s monster when I showed the picture but afterward I didn’t. @@TarantulaHaven look at you pulling out the backstory I love it. I was just giving you a hard time lol
