this is a fun design. I don't have any samurai themed models and that is a glaring omission! I didn't realize that the designer also made gundam, thats neat.
Under $20!? Dayam. I've been a bit intrigued by the kit but ive only seen it listed at $60 up until this week when the price has gone down *a bit.* im glad to see your review because im a bit underwhelmed by the finished product. *Under* twenty bones, though? Probably.
Lack of colors is what Kotobukiya is like these days, and knowing that this mecha is a cult design, I don't think they wanted to create molds for unique parts that most likely won't be reused/won't sell very well, the design is not bad but the fact that they have a unique design and they don't do it justice is really annoying.
Which makes their Rein Weisritter kit even more of an odd duck. SO MANY color separated parts- even prepainted stuff! And it was great for the time, but now I want to see a more modern take on it... maybe just not from Koto this time around.
