For someone who grew up with G.I. Joe in the 80's and later served enlisted in the Marines and Air Force, to eventually become a commissioned officer in the Army, this channel is unbelievably satisfying. It's like a condensed perspective of who I am and why I became who I am. I can't wait to build my own G.I. Joe diorama just like this.

These videos bring back so many memories. I took a lot of mine apart, and would spend hours upon hours creating new figures. I was so happy when I came across the 1st Snake Eyes even though he had no thumbs. I ended up selling all of my Joes, turtles, and bots. Made pretty decent money, but had I known then what I know now, I wouldve skipped that weekend at the coast and just kept my toys.

Man.. Seing all my old Joes again like this, makes me Miss the thousands of hours i spent as a kid with my many many MANY tiny plastic friends! Still remember some of the specific days i bought certain figurens.. Which is weird i can barely remember my wife name!.. Vividly hearing my moms voice when i said, "can i get a New Joe".. "you have so many already!".. But moom.. I dont have THIS one!! Worked every time.
Remembermy childhood toystore, when they got a New Line of Joes.. My friends and I went beserk looking at all the New cool gear etc, hidding the ones we wanted around the store so, People wouldnt but them xD

As a kid I sort of missed the first the few years of GI Joes as other toylines took precedence. Things took a turn once the 1988 Tiger Force came out. Being able to pick up Flynt, Duke, Roadbock, Tripwire, and Bazooka at the store was awesome. I got in heavy and my random Zartan, Cobra Soldier, and Mutt finally got some company. Plus there was a new Destro and Storm Shadow in 88.
I remember that summer trying to track down old Joes at garage sales, and I was able to snag a Cobra Commander, the twins, and some others. Strangely, old vehicles were actually easier to find second hand (Rattler, Conquest, Tomahawk-just to name a few-completely intact, and often for only a few bucks). Never did find many of the coveted early characters though-Snake Eyes, Shipwreck, Baroness, the Drednoks, etc. Oh well. I had so much fun in the back yard th3 next couple years. Many thanks to Michael, 3D Joes, and other passionate cats out there sharing the love.

With Scarlett, i take some sticky tack and put it on her foot and then place her on a stand using the sticky tack to hold her up. I've also found that smalljoes stands can be too tight in the foot, and if the figure falls just a foot, it will break the peg off into the foot. I use iain Sanderson stands for early 1980's joes in my collection and small joes stands with my late 1980's-early 1990's vintage & the modern o-ring figures (convention, and post 1994 vintage era joes). I also will sand the smalljoes stands down & around to make the peg fit better. Great collection brother.....beautiful collection.

Very nice display! I am very close to finally completing my 82-86 Joe Figure Collection. The only figures I still need is Slipstream, Mainframe, Roadblock V2 & Sci-Fi. It took me forever to find a Complete Heavy Metal with mic, Listen & Fun Tripwire, and a Cobra Viper (Glider) Pilot with near perfect Silver emblem. Sometime last year I completed the Special Mission Brazil Team yet I still need the regular version of Mainframe lol. I do have some 87 figures and I just recently started Army Building Night Vipers. I have been Army Building Crimson Guards and Snow Serpents for some time. All of my figures are complete except for Starduster who is missing his Black Visor. I may just have to go with a repro visor for him which is hard for me to do as I have always been very set on having all original accessories and my figures being 100% Complete with good paint.

Love it. Reminds me of the 1985 G.i.joe catalog cover art with a few Joe's standing in front of the rock title...it just looks great.

That's the way (I like it)!...Hey Mike, they really look great with that setup, a more detailed view. Congratulations for the Lightfoot, you said before that you didn't like it, but for me he was always one of my favorites, very similar to Airtight with his own R2....👍

Thanks David! Yeah I think that's why I passed on him for so long, his similarity to Airtight. Didn't even know he had those 'hologram' stickers on him, what a bonus!

That styrofoam leveling is very smart. I’m so going to use that for my doll collection. Thank you

Snake eyes v3 is my first gi Joe figure ( beside Dr MINDBENDER ) after that, I got quick kick then snake eyes v2 and later low light. Now I need is spirit, doc, wild Bill and Scarlett. I mostly don't care if it broken or loose, I just love collecting figures based on they vintage unique history.

Snake Eyes v1 and v2 were tough acts to follow but v3 is just as awesome.

I got into them from the comics in the early 80s… absolute favs that I still own today “80 figures in mint condition”.. the gold helmet Destro .. Xemont and Tomax , Zartan, Serpentor ! Those special figures that came with their vehicles were always so special .. u were the shit if u had them in school lol.. Didn’t it start with the Twins ? Coming together in the special pack ? Then Zartan and his swamp ski .. then Serpentor and his chariot .. ? My last set was SGT Slaughters crew that all came together in a set .. as well as the Cobra La set .. with that cool as dude who had the snake body that bent “lost that set sadly except one of them .. he’s like a light purple .. I’m 46 now so I’ve Forgotten so many names.. tunnel rat was so bad ass.. Taurus ?? Never knew about that one.. OUTBACK was also a fav.. BATTLE FORCE 2000 that’s what they were called !! Along with COBRA LA.. battle force was based off of the ALIENS marines. Is hard ball based off Griffey ??

One of my best memories was visiting England in 1989, and finding most of the 1986 lineup under "action force, a real international hero"(🤮).
I spent every last pound i could dig up...
