I thought that Pytorch had overtaken Tensorflow in popularity and ease of use. Every deep learning assignment in the master's program I'm currently finishing has used Pytorch to build our models, and it's seemed very powerful and straightforward.

I'd add SciPy but that's coming from more of a modeling and simulation background. Apart from that, wondered whether you'd mention PyTorch.

Yeah... I thought about all of the above as well as a few others like beautifulsoup. It's the challenge in making a list and limiting to ten...

    I'd also recommend polars!

I was actually just thinking about doing a deep dive video into polars. The differences between it and pandas are quite fascinating and instructive.

@@RichardOnData yeah nice. I think one of the big + with polars (apart from performance) is the API (there aren't 100 different ways to do the same operation)

How about a Julia top ten (or top five)?

I actually have a video about this, but it's from 2020! Probably needs to be updated.

@@RichardOnData Yes, an update on Julia in 2024 would be great. I get the impression it's been growing a lot the last couple years.

Interesting. I'm going to poll my audience at large to see if they want to see more R content or Python content.
